Verizon Private IP Service

1. GENERAL

Verizon offers four variations of its Private IP service: Private IP Service, Private IP Layer 2, Private IP Gateway, and Private IP Interconnect. Availability may vary by country. These terms generally apply to Optimized Service (denoted with a “+” and sometimes referred to as Rapid Delivery) and non-Optimized Service, except where explicitly stated otherwise.

1.1 Service Definition

Private IP is a wide area data networking service providing any-to-any connectivity to transport Customer Data between Customer Sites.

Terms apply to Optimized Service and non-Optimized Service, except where explicitly stated otherwise.

2. AVAILABLE VERSIONS PRIVATE IP SERVICE

2.1 Private IP Service

2.1.1 Service Definition

Private IP is a wide area data networking service that provides any-to-any connectivity to transport Customer Data between Customer Sites.

2.1.2 Standard Service Features

2.1.2.1 Route Capacity and IPv4 and IPv6 Protocols

Verizon assigns a maximum number of routes that a Customer may introduce into the Private IP Network based on the total number of sites expected in a Customer VPN. Capacity constraints may vary for Customers using MVIC (available upon request). Customer selects either IPv4 or IPv6 protocol (where available) and a suitable number of IP addresses, adhering to Verizon's assignment guidelines.

2.2 Private IP Layer 2

2.2.1 Service Definition

Provides point-to-point routing with Customer control of routing, architectural, and topology changes.

2.2.2 Optional Service Features

The Private IP Permanent Visual Circuits feature allows Verizon to add one or more Private IP PVCs on Customer's Private IP Layer 2 port upon request.

2.3 Private IP Gateway

2.3.1 Service Definition

Provides an interconnection between two private networks based on gateway characteristics.

2.3.2 Standard Service Features

2.4 Private IP-Interconnect (PIP-I) (Select Customers Only)

2.4.1 Service Definition

Provides a direct, point-to-point interconnection between Customer's Private IP site(s) and Customer's third-party MPLS-based network, using a shared port gateway.

3. SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS

3.1 India Ports

This clause applies if the Private IP Service includes ports in India.

3.2 Provisioning Entities in China

If regulatory changes in China affect Verizon's ability to provide PIP/PIP Gateway, Verizon may terminate the service without liability or transition provision to a different Third Party network supplier at an agreed price.

3.3 Turkey Use Prohibition

Connections to and use of the Public Internet, World Wide Web, and Social Media by users in Turkey require exclusive use of a locally licensed internet service provider compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Verizon must be notified immediately of any contravention. Violation may result in service suspension and Customer liability for any incurred fines or expenses.

3.4 Voice over IP (VoIP) Restrictions

Customer acknowledges that various jurisdictions have restrictions or licensing conditions for VoIP transmission. Customer must comply with applicable regulations.

3.5 Taxes, Surcharges and Exemptions

Verizon Wireless or MCI Communications Services LLC dba Verizon Business Services may bill Customer for any federal, state, local, or foreign tax, fee, assessment, or other charge required by law, or for surcharges to cover expenses incurred to comply with regulatory obligations. Taxes and Surcharges may change. If Customer provides a valid exemption certificate, the specific Tax will not be collected. If an exemption is found invalid, Customer must pay the uncollected Tax plus related interest and penalties.

3.6 Toll Bypass

Parties will not use Private IP to bypass international/long distance charges in contravention of applicable law or regulation.

5. FINANCIAL TERMS

5.1 Optimized Service

Customer will pay charges for Optimized Private IP Service as specified in the Agreement and at www.verizon.com/business/service_guide/reg/applicable_charges_toc.htm. Charges are in U.S. dollars.

5.1.2 Burstable Billing. Bandwidth Bursting

(Optimized Only) Customer pays an additional monthly charge for measured usage exceeding the Bandwidth Commitment. Usage is sampled every five minutes, and the measured usage level is based on the 95th percentile of samples. Incremental usage is rounded up.

With burstable billing, Customer may subscribe to a Bandwidth Commitment less than the selected Private IP Service speed and burst up to the selected speed. Changes to commitments or the Burstable Aggregate Group are implemented on the first day following the end of the billing cycle, or the first day of the subsequent cycle.

Customer may select one of the following burstable billing pricing plans:

5.1.3 Reconfiguration

A reconfiguration charge applies for modifications to an existing Private IP circuit, such as reterminating a circuit to a different router or reconfiguring the port, at Customer's request.

5.2 Non-Optimized Service

Customer will pay MRCs and NRCs for non-Optimized Private IP Service as specified in the Agreement and at www.verizon.com/business/service_guide/reg/applicable_charges_toc.htm. Online pricing for U.S. Verizon entities is at www.verizon.com/business/service_guide/reg/cp_private_ip_service.htm.

6. DEFINITIONS

Term Definition
Bandwidth Commitment The portion of a port speed used monthly without incurring a Burstable Overage charge.
Burstable Aggregate Group A group of Private IP Services aggregated to combine Measured Use Level for the circuits.
Committed Access Rate (CAR) The amount of bandwidth Customer subscribes to on a logical Port by logical Port basis.
Customer Edge (CE) The edge, or point, where customer traffic enters or exits the Customer network.
Geographic Diversity Automatically directs the second Customer circuit to a different Verizon gateway at a different Verizon POP.
Master Site The Private IP Service within a Burstable Aggregate Group that determines the overage Mbps price. Only one Master Site can be designated per group.
Measured Use Level Calculated by Verizon sampling Customer's Private IP Service usage periodically throughout a month. The usage at the 95th percentile of samples (excluding the highest 5% of samples) is the Measured Use Level.
MPLS Multi-Protocol Label Switching, an Internet Engineering Task Force standard.
MPLS Partner A third-party MPLS provider with whom Verizon has an agency or reseller arrangement for interconnection to their in-country network.
MVIC MPLS VPN Interprovider Connection.
Port An entrance to and/or exit from a network.
Provider Edge (PE) The edge, or point, where customer traffic enters or exits the Verizon Private IP Network.
Router Diversity Automatically directs the second Customer circuit to a different switch or router.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Uses a logical connection to route traffic between network sites.
