Widex Moment™ App Quick Guide

Getting Started

The Widex Moment™ app is designed to work seamlessly with Widex Moment™ Bluetooth® hearing aids. This application allows users to control and personalize their hearing aids directly from an Apple or Android smartphone. It also supports direct streaming to iPhones and is prepared for future Android connections.

Users can download the Widex Moment™ app from the App Store or Google Play.

Pairing Widex Moment™ with Your Phone

For Apple iOS:

1. Go to Settings and enable Bluetooth®.
2. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices.
3. Turn your hearing devices off and then back on.
4. Select your hearing aids from the MFi (Made for iPhone) hearing devices list and press 'Pair' for each device.
5. Your hearing aids are now paired and ready for music and call streaming.
6. Open the Widex Moment™ app to connect your hearing aids to the app.

For Android:

1. Go to Settings and enable Bluetooth®.
2. Turn your hearing aids off and then back on.
3. Find and pair each hearing aid.
4. Your hearing aids are now paired with your phone, and you can use the app.

Widex Moment™ App Home Screen

The app's home screen provides access to various functions:

• In-app help: For assistance within the application.
• Connection or battery status: Displays the status of your hearing aids.
• Reset sound: Option to reset current sound settings.
• More options: Access to non-sound related adjustments.
• Save changes as personal program: Allows saving custom settings.
• Mute and volume: Controls for muting and adjusting volume.
• General sound adjustments: For fine-tuning audio.
• Select program: Choose different hearing programs.
• Home, SoundSense Learn and Menu: Navigation to core app sections.

Customizing Your Hearing Experience

Users can adjust the sound in their hearing aids without altering the settings configured by their hearing care professional. Sound adjustments can be made in three ways:

• SoundSense Learn: An AI-driven feature that guides users to personalized sound profiles for specific situations.
• General sound adjustments: Includes L/R volume control, equalizer settings (Bass, Middle, Treble), and sound mixer options for focusing on surroundings or streaming.
• Directional focus: Enables users to direct the hearing aid's focus to sound sources from the front, back, left, or right.

Personal programs can be created by saving custom adjustments, optionally with a name, icon, and associated location for automatic switching.

Stay Updated

Users may receive automatic notifications for app and hearing aid updates. Accepting these updates ensures the installation of the most recent functions and improvements.

Share Your Real-Life Data

The Widex Moment™ app may request consent to share data. Sharing data with Widex helps improve listening experiences and future hearing aid development. Users may also consent to share data with their hearing care professional, granting them access to app-based adjustments for more personalized fittings. All shared data is securely encrypted.

Troubleshooting

Pairing Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is active, hearing aids are close, batteries are charged, and devices are turned off/on. Check app permissions for Bluetooth. If problems persist, unpair and re-pair, close and restart the app, or restart the phone and hearing aids.

iOS Streaming Issues: Verify hearing aid pairing. In Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > Audio Routing, ensure Call Audio and Media Audio are set to 'Automatic' or 'Always Hearing Devices'. Deactivate Flight mode and disable Wi-Fi if necessary.
