General Safety and Operating Instructions
Please observe national guidelines concerning the approval of auxiliary equipment installations.
Any alterations or modifications to the tow bar system are strictly prohibited and will void the operating license.
Before installation, remove any insulating material or underbody protection from the vehicle's mounting surfaces where the tow bar will be attached.
The tow bar is designed for towing trailers and for use with load carriers. Any other use is prohibited.
Parking Assist Systems: Vehicles equipped with parking assist systems may experience malfunctions after tow bar installation if parts of the tow bar (e.g., the ball neck or coupling ball) are within the sensor's detection range. In such cases, the detection range should be adjusted, or the parking assist system deactivated. For tow bars with removable or pivoting ball heads, malfunctions are unlikely if the ball head is removed from its operating position.
The tow bar is a safety-critical component and must only be installed by qualified professionals. Improper installation poses a serious risk of accidents. The German text of this manual is binding.
Subject to change.
