Fullcover Waterblock
The Alphacool Eiswolf 2 is the first full cover GPU AIO waterblock from Alphacool. It is based on the Alphacool GPX Eisblock Aurora GPX water block, a pump unit, and a 360mm NexXxoS ST30 full copper radiator. The radiator is equipped with the Alphacool Aurora Rise Digital RGB fans. The Eiswolf 2 graphics card AIO water block cools not only the GPU with liquid but also all relevant components that require active cooling, including the graphics memory, the VRM, and other components requiring direct cooling. By using the Eisblock GPX Aurora water cooler, the cooling capacity is identical to that of a DIY graphics card water cooler.
Chrome-plated Copper
The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. Chrome plating is much harder than nickel plating, making it less sensitive to acids, scratches, and damage. It eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating offers a more homogeneous look and a shine not achievable with nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers are typically used in industrial sectors where components are exposed to extreme influences.
Pump
The Eiswolf 2 features a pump unit in place of the standard connection terminal. This unit houses the DC-LT 2 pump, an improved and quieter version of the well-known DC-LT Low Noise Ceramic Pump. Despite its size, the pump unit is only 5 mm wider than a normal connection terminal.
Fittings and Tubing
Alphacool uses TPV hoses from the Enterprise Solution range for the Eiswolf 2, typically reserved for servers and workstations. The tubing is made of EPDM/PP, offering excellent heat resistance, durability, and freedom from plasticizers. All fittings are also from the Enterprise Solution range and are designed to perfectly match the TPV hoses.
Expandability
The quick-release fastener allows the Eiswolf 2 to be connected to another Alphacool AIO unit, enabling the creation of a larger loop in seconds. Alphacool provides various prefilled components for easy loop expansion. For safety, the quick-release fasteners are securely screwed together, not merely plugged.
Lighting and Fans
The Eiswolf 2 cooler features digital RGB LED lighting, also known as addressable RGB LEDs, along the entire back of the graphics card cooler for complete illumination. The pump unit has a more subtle design, with a green glowing logo for Nvidia cards and a red glowing logo for AMD cards. The "Eiswolf" name on the pump unit remains unlit. The included fans are the Aurora Rise 120mm models. Their special blade design ensures quiet operation, and the addressable RGB LEDs provide brilliant illumination. The Alphacool Aurora Rise fan offers a maximum static pressure of 3.17 mm H2O and a maximum air flow of 119.8 m³/h. PWM control allows for a wide speed range, including a zero-RPM mode that starts up around 350 RPM.
NexXxoS Radiator
In line with all AIO units, Alphacool utilizes radiators from the renowned NexXxoS series. Full copper radiators provide significantly higher cooling capacity compared to aluminum radiators and have been a key factor in Alphacool's global success. The combination of all components results in a solution that is as easy to install as a standard AIO, but offers the performance of a pre-assembled and prefilled custom loop.
Technical Note
Due to extended storage times and transport, the liquid in the Eiswolf 2 AIO may settle, potentially leading to a brownish discoloration. Once the pump operates, the ingredients will mix, and the liquid should return to a clear state. This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the performance or function of the AIO.
