Data Hold
Short press the [HOLD Button] to freeze/unfreeze the displayed reading.
Backlight
The LCD backlight function is useful for viewing the display in low-light conditions. Short press the [Backlight Button] to turn on the backlight. The backlight automatically turns off after 10 seconds.
Measurement Precautions
- Keep the light sensor clean and free of scratches. Gently wipe away dust with a dry, lint-free cloth.
- Avoid reflective light or shadows on the sensor during measurement.
- For best accuracy, take multiple readings to ensure the light source has stabilized.
Maintenance
Replacing the Battery
- Turn off the meter.
- Press and hold the locking tab on the battery compartment (located on the back of the meter) and slide the battery compartment door open.
- Replace with 2 x 1.5V 'AAA' batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Reinstall the battery compartment door.
