Installing Your Portable Air-Conditioner

Electrical Connections

Before plugging in, check:

  • Mains power supply matches the rating plate.
  • Mains socket and circuit are adequate.
  • Mains socket matches the plug; replace if necessary.
  • Mains socket is adequately earthed.

Failure to follow these instructions absolves the manufacturer of liability. The power cable must be replaced by a qualified professional.

Air-Conditioning Without Installation

Follow these steps for basic setup:

  • Fit the air exhaust hose (13) into the housing (8) at the back of the appliance. (See Figure A).
  • For sash windows, place bracket (17) on the window sill, extend it, fix with the pin, and lower the window onto it. Insert the window outlet (14) of the exhaust hose (13) into the slot and connect to the air conditioner. (See Figure B).
  • For sliding windows, use the locking pins on the bracket to position it correctly for the exhaust hose. (See Figure C).
  • For double windows, use the sucker (12) to hold the two parts of the window together. (See Figure D).

Keep air hoses as short and free of curves as possible to avoid constrictions.

Preparing for Use

Semi-Permanent Installation

For a semi-permanent installation:

  • Fit the wall flange (11) into a drilled hole (approx. 5.25 inches / 134 mm diameter) in an outside wall or window pane. Respect dimensions shown in Figures F and G.
  • Fit the air exhaust hose (13) to the appliance's rear outlet.
  • Connect the other end of the hose (13) to the wall flange (11). (See Figure G).

When the hose is not fitted, the drilled hole can be closed with the flange cap (11).

Note: When installing semi-permanently, leave a door slightly open (approx. 1/2" / 1 cm) for ventilation.

Keep air hoses short and free of curves.

Special tools may be required; professional installation is recommended.
