Introduction
If used regularly, the filters of this device should be changed every 2 months. This guide will teach you how to replace the filters on your iRobot Roomba 770.
Step 1 - Filter
Orientation: The iRobot Roomba 770 is shown from a top-down perspective. A hand is guiding the user to orient the robot correctly, ensuring the "Clean Button" is facing upwards and any text on the robot is right-side up.
- Orient the Roomba so that the "Clean Button" is up, and so that the words are right side up.
- Push down on the large button on the part of the Roomba that is closest to you. Pull the back of the Roomba (the dust bin) out.
Step 2
Dust Bin Removal: The process involves removing the dust bin from the robot. The removed dust bin is then oriented with its curved side facing away from the user and its clear side facing upwards. A small yellow tab on the filter mechanism is shown being pushed inward, and then the filter is swung outwards.
- Take the dust bin and orient it so that the curved part is facing away and the clear side is facing up.
- Push the small yellow tab inward, and swing it out toward you.
Step 3
Filter Removal: The dust bin is shown with the two yellow filters in place, highlighting the yellow tabs located on top of each filter. A hand is shown pushing upwards on these yellow tabs to release and remove the filters.
- Push up on the yellow tabs on the yellow filters, and pull both filters out.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
