End of Life Notification for Verifone PCI PTS v5 Products

Thank you for choosing Verifone as your trusted payment-solution provider and for previously purchasing Verifone's PCI 5 payment solutions.

In line with the PCI Security Standards Council mandate, the official PCI PTS v5 expiration date is set for April 30, 2026.

Verifone devices with expired PCI PTS v5 approvals will not be eligible for new sale or new deployment, other than repair or replacement of like products. Verifone is offering similar configured device variants, if you are not already purchasing these, which provide enhanced performance and functionality.

It is acceptable to purchase devices prior to the PCI PTS v5 expiry date. However, anyone purchasing expired devices or deploying large numbers of devices after the PCI PTS v5 expiry date will be required to discuss the liability with their respective device provider. Subject to any contractual commitments, Verifone shall have no liability for any continued use of devices after the PCI PTS v5 expiry date.

Devices with expired PCI PTS v5 approvals may remain deployed in the field and are eligible for Delta testing or Delta evaluations, provided no security vulnerabilities or exploits are identified by the processors. Check with your respective device provider/processor on any sunset dates.

To assist Verifone in preparation for transition and allow for customer needs, please note the following dates:

• Final Order Date: After this date, Verifone will cease taking orders for PCI PTS 5 devices. Verifone encourages ordering related spare parts at the time of the final order.
• Final Shipment Date: After this date, Verifone will end shipment of PCI PTS 5 devices, subject to availability of necessary parts and components.
• End of Support Date: Verifone will not issue software updates or provide development support after this date, except for critical software error corrections (including security vulnerabilities) for a period. This excludes development and support for new Contact or Contactless Kernels. After April 2026, expired devices may no longer be eligible for new L3 approvals.
• End of Service Date: Verifone will discontinue service and repair of these devices after this date, unless subject to an extended warranty. Verifone will honor valid extended support contracts to their full term but will not renew or further extend them.
