Instruction Manual
Safety Instructions
- Clean the probe immediately after each measurement to avoid cross contamination.
- Do not expose the appliance to temperatures over 50°C/122°F or use in ovens.
Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the appliance.
- Insert the battery (Negative (-) terminal first).
- Pull out as much of the probe cable as required.
- Close the battery cover.
Operation
Temperature Measurement
- Press the [On/Off] button to power up the thermometer.
- Insert the probe approximately 25mm (1") into the foodstuff.
- The temperature of the foodstuff is displayed when the value remains constant.
Units of Measurement
Press and hold the [°C/°F] button for three seconds to alternate between Centigrade and Fahrenheit.
Data Hold
- Press the [HOLD] button to keep the current reading displayed.
- Press the [HOLD] button again to resume normal operation.
Maximum/Minimum Readings
The thermometer can store and display the maximum and minimum temperature readings taken since the last reset:
- Press the [MAX/MIN] button. The MAX icon flashes and the maximum temperature taken displays on the screen.
- Press the [MAX/MIN] button again. The MIN icon flashes and the minimum temperature taken displays on the screen.
- Press the button again to resume normal operation.
Note: To reset the memory turn the thermometer Off and then On again. Always reset the memory before taking new readings to ensure accuracy.
High/Low Temperature Alarm
The thermometer can sound an alarm when a set temperature range is exceeded.
- Press the [SET] button. The HI value flashes on the display.
- Press the [▲] or [▼] button until the required maximum temperature is displayed.
- Press the [SET] button to confirm. The LO value flashes on the display.
- Press the [▲] or [▼] button until the required minimum temperature is displayed.
- Press the [SET] button to confirm and return to normal operation.
- When the alarm sounds, press any button to turn it Off.
- Note: The appropriate icon on the display (HI or LO) continues to flash until the temperature returns to within the set range.
- To permanently turn the alarm Off, follow the steps above but pressing the [specific button] when the HI and LO values flash on the display.

Troubleshooting
If the appliance ceases to function correctly, press and hold the red [RESET] button (situated on the back of the appliance) using a pointed instrument.
