Fender Full Moon Distortion

User Manual and Specifications

Introduction

Thanks for purchasing the Full Moon Distortion — a high gain distortion pedal with flexible tone shaping capabilities. Engineered to deliver heavy distortion without losing clarity, the Full Moon is equipped with a four-band EQ to help match this pedal to any guitar/amp combination. The Texture and Bite Switches offer additional tools to tweak your sound. The Full Moon also offers a boost that can increase the overall volume. Between the EQ section, toggles, and boost, this distortion pedal is capable of adding snarl to chugging rhythms or creating soaring single-note leads.

Control Descriptions

Level [control knob]

This control adjusts overall volume level.

Hi-Treble [control knob]

A useful control for smoothing out high gain. It softens the upper frequencies and works to blend in the right amount of sizzle.

Treble [control knob]

This controls the pedal's high-frequency response. Dial it in to keep the top end of your notes clear and defined.

Middle [control knob]

This controls the pedal's midrange response. A versatile control useful in all distortion settings.

Bass [control knob]

This controls the pedal's low-frequency response. Use this to fatten up thinner-sounding guitars, or roll it back to clear up guitars with too much bottom end.

Boost [control knob]

This control adjusts the amount of volume added when the Boost is engaged.

Boost LED [indicator light]

This LED shows when the Boost is engaged.

Gain [control knob]

This control adjusts the amount of distortion or saturation.

Texture Switch [toggle switch]

This toggles between asymmetrical and symmetrical clipping.

Bite Switch [toggle switch]

This switch adds extra gain at upper frequencies, reducing potentially boomy low end and lets your instrument cut through the mix.

Jewel Indicator [indicator light]

The Jewel Indicator shows when the distortion effect is active.

Bypass Footswitch [footswitch]

This rugged footswitch bypasses the effect.

Boost Footswitch [footswitch]

This switch provides extra output level set by the Boost control.

Input Jack [input jack]

This is a high-impedance input suitable for electric guitar, bass, keyboards and other instruments.

Output Jack [output jack]

This is a low-impedance output jack that connects to the amp or to the next effect pedal in the signal chain.

DC Power Connector [9V DC power input]

This is a standard center-negative 9VDC jack for use with appropriate power supplies.

LED Kill Switch [toggle switch]

This switch extinguishes the LEDs that illuminate the control knobs—useful in maximizing battery life when running the pedal from batteries.

Low Battery Indicator [indicator light]

This red LED on the front of the battery door illuminates when battery voltage drops below a set threshold, indicating that the battery should be replaced soon.
