Connection Scenarios
Scenario 1: Connect Devices with Optical Interfaces
This scenario demonstrates connecting an Ethernet device equipped with optical interfaces to a network using the media converter. The setup involves:
- An "Ethernet Device with Optical Interfaces" connected via a "100BASE-X (Fiber) Interface".
- A "LC-SC Fiber Cable" linking the Ethernet device to the "Media Converter (TL-FC111PB-20)".
- The "Media Converter" has a "Fast Ethernet" RJ45 port.
- A "Twisted-Pair Cable" connects the media converter's RJ45 port to a "Powered Device (PD)" such as an "IP Camera" or "AP".
Note: The maximum output power of the TL-FC111PB-20 is 15.4W. PoE devices requiring more than 15.4W are not supported. The converter supplies steady power and data connectivity to the powered device.
Scenario 2: Connect Devices without Optical Interfaces
This scenario illustrates connecting an Ethernet device that does not have optical interfaces. The setup includes:
- An "Ethernet Device without Optical Interfaces" connected via a "Twisted-Pair Cable" to the "Media Converter".
- The "Media Converter (TL-FC111PB-20)" has a "Fast Ethernet" RJ45 port.
- A "SC-SC Fiber Cable" connects this media converter to a second "Media Converter".
- The second "Media Converter" also has a "Fast Ethernet" RJ45 port.
- Another "Twisted-Pair Cable" connects the second media converter's RJ45 port to a "Powered Device (PD)" such as an "IP Camera" or "AP".
