Quick Start Guide
Overview
This section provides an overview of the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Gaming Headset and its included accessories.
A: Gaming headset. This is the primary audio device, featuring over-ear cups and a flexible microphone boom.
B: PC splitter cable. This cable allows connection to devices with separate microphone and headphone jacks, typically found on desktop PCs. It features a single 3.5mm TRRS connector that splits into two 3.5mm TRS connectors (one for microphone, one for audio).
C: DTS Headphone:X instruction card. This card contains instructions for enabling DTS Headphone:X spatial audio technology.

Connecting Your Headset
PC or Notebook Connection
For PC or Notebook use, connect the headset as follows:
- 1. PC Connection: Use the included PC splitter cable (B). Connect the single 3.5mm end to the headset. Connect the two 3.5mm ends to the corresponding microphone and headphone jacks on your desktop computer.
- 2. Notebook Connection: For laptops with a single 3.5mm combo jack, connect the headset directly using its integrated 3.5mm cable.
Follow the instructions on the DTS Headphone:X instruction card to enable DTS Headphone:X for enhanced audio.
Console and Mobile Connection
The HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 can be connected to various gaming consoles and mobile devices:
- Xbox Series or PlayStation 5: Connect the headset directly to the 3.5mm audio jack on your Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5 controller.
- Mobile (Phone/Tablet): Connect the headset directly to the 3.5mm headphone jack on your smartphone or tablet.
Features
Volume Wheel
Adjust the audio volume by scrolling the wheel located on the headset earcup. Scroll up to increase volume and down to decrease volume.
Swivel to Mute Microphone
To mute the microphone, simply swivel the microphone boom upwards. Swiveling it back down will unmute the microphone.
