The Logitech Unifying Receiver
The Logitech Unifying receiver allows connection of multiple compatible Logitech wireless devices to a single USB port. Look for the orange Unifying logo on new devices or their packaging to confirm compatibility.
Getting Started with Unifying
To pair devices using the Unifying receiver:
- Ensure the Unifying receiver is securely plugged into a computer USB port.
- If not already installed, download the Logitech Unifying software from https://www.logitech.com/unifying.
- Launch the Unifying software (typically found under Start > All Programs > Logitech > Unifying > Logitech Unifying Software) and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the new wireless device with the existing Unifying receiver.
Help with Setup and Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during setup, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- Keyboard Power: Ensure the keyboard is powered on. Try turning it off and on again.
- Receiver Connection: Verify the Unifying receiver is securely plugged into a computer USB port. Try changing USB ports. If using a USB hub, try plugging the receiver directly into a computer's USB port.
- Batteries: Check if the battery tab has been pulled. Verify the orientation of the two AA alkaline batteries inside the keyboard, or replace them if necessary.
- Interference: Remove any metallic objects between the keyboard and its Unifying receiver.
- Receiver Proximity: Try moving the Unifying receiver to a USB port closer to the keyboard.
- Reconnection: Attempt to reconnect the keyboard and Unifying receiver using the Logitech Unifying software as described in the "Getting Started with Unifying" section.
