Common Problems
Fail to pair Wi-Fi devices to eWeLink APP
- Make sure the device is in pairing mode. After three minutes of unsuccessful pairing, the device will automatically exit pairing mode.
- Turn on location services and allow location permission. This is needed to obtain Wi-Fi list information. If disabled, you will not be able to add devices.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network runs on the 2.4GHz band.
- Enter the correct Wi-Fi SSID and password. Avoid special characters, as incorrect passwords are a common cause of pairing failure.
- Keep the device close to the router for good signal transmission during pairing.
Wi-Fi devices "Offline" issue
Check the Wi-Fi LED indicator status:
- LED indicator blinks once every 2s: Indicates failure to connect to the router. Possible causes include wrong Wi-Fi SSID/password, special characters in SSID/password that the system cannot recognize, low router capacity, or weak Wi-Fi signal (router too far, obstacles). Ensure the device's MAC address is not blacklisted by your MAC management.
LED indicator flashes twice on repeated means you fail to connect to the server
- Ensure the Internet connection is working. Test by connecting your phone or PC to the internet.
- Your router might have a low carrying capacity, exceeding the maximum number of connected devices. Confirm your router's limit and consider deleting devices or using a larger router.
- Contact your ISP to confirm that the following server addresses are not shielded:
- cn-disp.coolkit.cc (China Mainland)
- as-disp.coolkit.cc (in Asia except China)
- eu-disp.coolkit.cc (in EU)
- us-disp.coolkit.cc (in US)
If none of the above methods resolve the issue, please submit a request via "Help & Feedback" on the eWeLink APP.
