Product Overview

The POPP Smart Thermostat is a connected radiator thermostat designed for residential use. It is battery-powered, compact, and easy to operate, featuring a manual hand wheel and a single button. As a Zigbee Certified Product, it is compatible with the POPP ZB-Stick, ZB-Shield, and other third-party certified systems utilizing Zigbee technology. Installation is designed to be quick, taking approximately 30 seconds.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install and connect your POPP Smart Thermostat.

  1. Step 1: Valve Identification and Adapter Mounting

    Identify your existing radiator valve by comparing its body shape to the diagrams provided. Select and mount the correct adapter. The following adapter types are illustrated:

    RA Valve

    The following adapters are included in the scope of delivery: RA, RAV, M30, RAVL. Other adapters shown in the overview can be purchased separately. Adapter code numbers are provided below each illustration in the original documentation.

  2. Step 2: Battery Insertion and Thermostat Mounting

    Insert the batteries into the POPP Smart Thermostat. Then, mount the thermostat onto the adapter by turning it until you hear a click. The thermostat will enter Mounting mode, indicated by an "M" on its display.

  3. Step 3: Prepare Zigbee Gateway

    Open your Zigbee-enabled gateway's app or user interface. Consult your gateway's user manual for instructions on how to start the Zigbee connecting mode within your app or interface.

  4. Step 4: Initiate Zigbee Connection

    Start the Zigbee connecting mode in your gateway's app or user interface.

  5. Step 5: Activate Thermostat Pairing

    Press the button on the POPP Smart Thermostat once. The connecting symbol on the thermostat's screen will begin to flash, indicating it is ready to pair.

  6. Step 6: Confirm Device Discovery

    The POPP Smart Thermostat will appear in your gateway's app or user interface, confirming successful discovery.

  7. Step 7: Finalize Installation

    Press and hold the button on the POPP Smart Thermostat for 3 seconds. This will end the mounting mode, and the thermostat will display the set temperature, completing the installation.

Troubleshooting

The POPP Smart Thermostat will not connect to your gateway

  1. Remove one battery from the thermostat.
  2. Hold down the button on the POPP Smart Thermostat while re-inserting the battery. The display will start flashing. Release the button when the display stops flashing. This action resets the POPP Smart Thermostat to factory default.
  3. The POPP Smart Thermostat will enter mounting mode, indicated by an "M" on its screen. Repeat the installation process from Step 1 with your Zigbee Gateway.
