Introduction
Before using the sound bar, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
This soundbar features Roku TV Ready compatibility, Dolby Audio, HDMI connectivity, and Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming.

General Safety Precautions

- The unit is supplied with a standard mains lead and moulded plug; do not modify it. Consult an electrician for replacement mains sockets if the plug does not fit.

- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Caution: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture. The unit must not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and objects filled with liquids must not be placed on the unit.
The mains plug/appliance coupler serves as the disconnect device and must remain readily operable.
Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
Warning: The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat or direct heat sources. Before operating, check that the unit's voltage matches your local power supply. Do not place the unit near strong magnetic fields or on amplifiers/receivers. If solid objects or liquids fall into the system, unplug it and have it checked by qualified personnel before further operation. Do not clean with chemical solvents; use a clean, dry, or slightly damp cloth. When unplugging, pull the plug directly, not the cord. Unauthorized modifications void user authority. The rating label is on the bottom or back of the equipment. Install and operate with a minimum distance of 20cm between the unit and your body.

Identifying the Parts
Main Unit Parts
Refer to the diagram for numbered parts:
- Display Window: Shows the current status.
- Remote Control Sensor: Receives signals from the remote control.
- [Power Button]: Switches the unit between ON and STANDBY mode.
- [SOURCE Button]: Selects the play mode.
- [Volume +/- Buttons]: Increase/decrease the volume level.
- Wall Mount: For installing wall mounting screws.
- AC IN Socket: Connects to the power supply.
- USB Socket: For inserting a USB device to play music.
- OPTICAL Socket: Connects to an optical audio output on the TV.
- AUX Socket: Connects to an external audio device.
- HDMI ARC Socket: Connects to a TV via HDMI cable.
- COAXIAL Socket: Connects to a coaxial audio output on the TV.
Wireless Subwoofer Parts
Refer to the diagram for numbered parts:
- PAIR Indicator: Lights up solidly when pairing is successful.
- Reset Button: Press to reset the subwoofer; the blue LED light will turn off, and the subwoofer will broadcast its software version. The pairing record will be cleared.
- AC IN Socket: Connects to the power supply.
Instructions
Prepare the Remote Control
The provided remote control allows operation from a distance. Remote control operation may be disrupted by obstacles within the 19.7 feet (6m) range or by other infrared devices.
Replace the Remote Control Battery
- Press and slide the back cover to open the battery compartment.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) alignment as indicated.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
Precautions Concerning Batteries:
- Ensure correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarities.
- Use batteries of the same type. Do not mix battery types.
- Rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries can be used; refer to their labels for precautions.
- Be careful of fingernails when removing the battery cover and battery.
- Do not drop or impact the remote control.
- Do not spill water or liquid on the remote control.
- Do not place the remote control on wet objects.
- Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near excessive heat sources.
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a long period to prevent corrosion or leakage, which could cause injury or damage.
- Do not use batteries other than those specified.
- Do not mix new and old batteries.
- Only recharge batteries confirmed to be rechargeable.
Placement and Mounting
Placement Options
A (Table Placement): If your TV is on a table, place the soundbar unit directly in front of the TV stand, centered with the TV screen.
B (Wall Mounting): If your TV is wall-mounted, mount the soundbar unit directly below the TV screen.
Wall Mounting
Note: Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel. Incorrect assembly can result in severe personal injury and property damage. Verify wall integrity for supporting the unit and brackets. Additional tools (not included) may be required. Do not overtighten screws. Keep this manual for future reference. Use a stud finder to check wall type before drilling.
Connections
Connect to OPTICAL Socket
Remove the protective cap from the OPTICAL socket. Connect an OPTICAL cable from the TV's OPTICAL OUT socket to the soundbar's OPTICAL socket.
Connect to AUX Socket
A: Use a RCA to 3.5mm audio cable to connect the TV's audio output sockets to the soundbar's AUX socket.
B: Use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to connect the TV's or an external audio device's AUX socket to the soundbar's AUX socket.
Connect to HDMI (ARC) Socket
Your soundbar supports HDMI with Audio Return Channel (ARC). If your TV is HDMI ARC compliant, you can hear TV audio through the soundbar using a single HDMI cable.
- Using a High Speed HDMI cable, connect the HDMI OUT (ARC)-TO TV connector on the soundbar to the HDMI ARC connector on the TV. The TV's HDMI ARC connector may be labeled differently; consult your TV's user manual.
- On your TV, enable HDMI-CEC operations. Consult your TV's user manual for details.
Tips:
- Your TV must support HDMI-CEC and ARC functions. Ensure HDMI-CEC and ARC are set to 'On'.
- HDMI-CEC and ARC setting methods may vary by TV model. Refer to your TV's owner's manual.
- Only HDMI 1.4 compatible cables support the ARC function.
Connect to COAXIAL Socket
Use a COAXIAL cable to connect the TV's COAXIAL OUT socket to the soundbar's COAXIAL socket.
Tip: The unit may not decode all digital audio formats. If muted, ensure the source audio setting (TV, game console, DVD player, etc.) is set to PCM or Dolby Digital. Refer to the source device's manual for audio setting details.
Connect Power
Risk of product damage!
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the voltage printed on the unit.
- Complete all other connections before connecting the AC power cord.
Subwoofer: Connect the mains cable to the subwoofer's AC IN socket and then to a mains socket.
Soundbar: Connect the mains cable to the main unit's AC IN socket and then to a mains socket.
Pair up with the subwoofer
Automatic Pairing:
Plug in both the soundbar and subwoofer, then turn the unit ON. They should pair automatically. The Pair Indicator on the subwoofer will flash fast during pairing and light up solidly when successful. If pairing fails, repeat the process or use manual pairing.
Manual Pairing:
If no audio is heard from the subwoofer:
- Unplug both units from the mains sockets, wait 3 minutes, then plug them back in.
- Turn the unit ON.
- Press and hold the [Power Button] on the soundbar or remote control for 3 seconds. The Pair Indicator on the subwoofer will blink rapidly and then become solid when successful. If it continues blinking, repeat steps 1-2.
Note: The subwoofer should be within 6m (approx. 20 feet) of the soundbar in an open area. Remove any objects between them. Check for wireless interference from other electronic devices.
If the main unit is ON but not connected to the subwoofer, the unit's POWER indicator will flash.
Basic Operation
Standby/On
When first connected to the mains, the unit is in STANDBY mode. Press the [Power Button] on the unit or remote to turn it ON. Press again to return to STANDBY. Disconnect the mains plug to turn the unit OFF completely.
Auto Wake
If a TV or external device (connected via AUX, OPTICAL, COAXIAL, HDMI ARC) is switched on, the unit will automatically switch on.
How to Enable Auto Wake
Short press the [SOURCE Button] and [Volume + Button] on the unit to enable or disable Auto Wake. Auto Wake On: White and green LEDs blink twice sequentially. In STANDBY, the RED LED breathes. Auto Wake Off: White and red LEDs blink twice sequentially. In STANDBY, the RED LED is solid.
Automatic Power Off Function
The unit automatically enters STANDBY mode after approximately 15 minutes if the TV or external unit is disconnected or switched off. To turn off completely, unplug the mains plug.
Select Modes
Press the [SOURCE Button] repeatedly on the unit or remote to cycle through OPTICAL, COAXIAL, HDMI ARC, Bluetooth (BT), USB, and AUX modes. The selected mode appears on the display.
Adjust the Bass/Treble Level
- Press [TREBLE +/-] to adjust treble levels.
- Press [BASS +/-] to adjust bass levels.
- After 3 seconds, the display returns to the selected mode. Use [Volume +/-] to adjust the overall volume.
Turn the Surround Sound ON/OFF
Press the [SURR Button] on the remote control to toggle surround sound ON or OFF.
Adjust the Volume
Press the [+/- Buttons] on the unit or [VOL+/- Buttons] on the remote control to adjust the volume. Press the [MUTE Button] to mute/unmute the sound.
Adjust the Brightness
Press the [DIMMER +/- Buttons] on the remote control to select the display brightness level.
Select a Preset Sound Effect
While playing, press the [EQ Button] on the remote control to select preset sound effects: MUSIC, MOVIE, NEWS, SPORT, NIGHT.
Advanced Operation
OPTICAL/COAXIAL/HDMI ARC/AUX Operation
- Ensure the unit is connected to the TV or audio device.
- Press the [SOURCE Button] repeatedly to select the desired input mode (OPTICAL, COAXIAL, HDMI ARC, BT, USB, AUX).
- Operate your audio device directly for playback features.
- Press the [VOL +/- Buttons] to adjust the volume.
Tip: If the unit mutes due to unsupported digital audio formats, ensure the source audio setting is set to PCM or Dolby Digital.
Bluetooth Operation
Pair Bluetooth-enabled Devices
For the first-time connection, you need to pair your Bluetooth device.
Note: The operational range is approximately 26 feet (8m). Ensure your device's capabilities are compatible. Obstacles can reduce range. Weak signals may cause disconnection, but the unit will re-enter pairing mode automatically.
- During ON mode, press the [Power Button] or [BT Button] on the remote to select Bluetooth mode. "NO BT" displays if no device is paired.
- Activate Bluetooth on your device and search for devices. "Hisense HS212F" should appear.
- If the unit is not found, press and hold the [Play/Pause Button] on the remote to make it searchable. The display will show "PAIR" and you will hear "Pairing".
- Select "Hisense HS212F" from your device's pairing list. You will hear "Paired" upon successful connection.
- Play music from your connected Bluetooth device.
To disconnect Bluetooth: Switch to another function, disable Bluetooth on your device, or press and hold the [Play/Pause Button] on the remote.
Tips:
- Use "0000" as the password if required.
- If no other device pairs within two minutes, the unit reverts to the previous connection.
- The unit disconnects if your device moves out of range. Bring it back within range to reconnect.
- If connection is lost, follow pairing instructions again.
Listen to Music from Bluetooth Device
If your Bluetooth device supports A2DP, you can listen to music through the player. If it also supports AVRCP, you can use the player's remote control for playback.
- Pair your device.
- Play music via your device (A2DP).
- Use the remote control for playback (AVRCP): Press [Play/Pause Button] to pause/resume. Press [Skip Buttons] (⏪/⏩) to skip tracks.
USB Operation
- Insert a USB device into the USB socket.
- Press the [Power Button] or [SOURCE Button] repeatedly to select USB mode.
- During playback: Press [Play/Pause Button] to pause/resume. Press [Skip Buttons] (⏪/⏩) to skip tracks.
Tips:
- Supports USB devices up to 32GB.
- Plays MP3/WAV/WMA files.
- Supports FAT32 file system.
- Embedded USB full speed host for applications should not exceed 6.5Mbps.
- For FLAC format, max blocksize 8107/8109 supports up to 4608.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
Never attempt to repair the system yourself. Consult the following points for issues:
No Power
- Ensure the AC cord is properly connected.
- Check for power at the AC outlet.
- Press the [STANDBY Button] to turn the unit on.
Remote Control Does Not Work
- Before pressing playback controls, select the correct source.
- Reduce the distance between the remote control and the unit.
- Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarities (+/-).
- Replace the batteries.
- Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the unit.
No Sound
- Increase the volume using [VOL +] on the remote or unit.
- Press the [MUTE Button] to ensure the soundbar is not muted.
- Press source buttons to select a different input source.
- For Digital Inputs (HDMI/Optical/Coaxial): If there is no audio, try setting the TV output to PCM or Dolby Digital. Connect directly to your source device; some TVs do not pass through digital audio. Your TV might be set to variable audio output; confirm the setting is FIXED or STANDARD, not VARIABLE. Consult your TV's user manual.
- For Bluetooth: Ensure the volume on your source device is turned up and not muted.
Cannot Find Bluetooth Name for Pairing
- Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your device.
- Ensure you have previously paired the unit with your Bluetooth device.
15-Minute Power Off Function (ERPII Standard)
When the unit's external input signal level is too low, it will automatically turn off in 15 minutes. Increase the volume level of your external device.
Subwoofer Idle or Indicator Not Lit
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket, wait 4 minutes, and plug it back in to reset the subwoofer.
