Operation
Before First Use
Clean the baking plate before first use. A slight smoke and smell may occur initially, which is normal and will dissipate. Ensure sufficient ventilation. The heating element cycles on/off to maintain constant temperature, indicated by the green ready-to-use light cycling on/off.
ATTENTION: Keep pet birds away from the appliance during use, as fumes can be harmful.
Baking Dutch Poffertjes
- Grease the baking plate lightly with oil or butter.
- Plug the appliance into the wall socket.
- Switch on the appliance using the On/Off switch. Red and green indicator lights will illuminate.
- Wait until the baking plate is sufficiently heated and the green ready-to-use light turns off.
- Pour the poffertjes batter quickly into the indentations. A squeeze bottle, gravy spoon, or jug is recommended for easy filling.
- Once the top surface is dry, carefully turn the poffertjes over using a fork or skewer. They are ready when both sides are golden-brown. Baking time is approximately 3-5 minutes, depending on batter type and preference.
- Remove the poffertjes with a fork or skewer and serve on a plate.
- Switch off the appliance using the On/Off switch after baking.
- Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool.
