⚠️ WARNING
Installation MUST carry out by a qualified and licensed electrician.
? IMPORTANT REMINDER
- Only to be used on Martec or Four Seasons "AC" motor ceiling fans.
- The supply to the remote control receiver should be connected through a mains switch, i.e. existing wall switch.
- Disconnect from power at wall switch before working on remote control receiver or ceiling fan.
- Install receiver into the ceiling fan canopy of the fan to ensure proper protection.
- This unit is to be used for the control of ceiling fan and in a AC230/240V 50Hz power supply only.
- Do not install in damp locations or immerse into water. (For indoor use only.)
- Do not pull on or cut leads shorter.
- Do not drop or bump the unit.
NB: The battery will weaken with age and should be replaced before leaking takes place as this will damage the transmitter. Dispose of used battery properly, keep the battery out of reach of children. DO NOT use this product with other brands or variable solid-state speed controllers.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Ensure that the isolation switch is in ON position and remote controller is installed with battery.
FUNCTIONS OF TRANSMITTER
Transmitter should be pointing to IR sensor if you would like to operate ceiling fan by remote controller.
Light Functions
- ON: Press and release immediately to turn on the light.
- OFF: Press and release immediately to turn off the light.
- DELAY: Press and release immediately to set that the light will be off after 3 minutes automatically.
Fan Functions
- HI: Turn on ceiling fan at high speed.
- MED: Turn on ceiling fan at medium speed.
- LOW: Turn on ceiling fan at low speed.
- OFF: Turn off ceiling fan.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This remote controller is ONLY applicable to drop rod styles.
Follow the wiring connection diagrams below and IR sensor MUST be installed outside the canopy.
Incorrect wire connection would damage the receiver.
Wiring Diagram Description
The diagram illustrates the connection of the AC power input (BROWN for Live, BLUE for Neutral) to the IR sensor and then to the fan motor and light. The IR sensor unit has BROWN, BLUE, and BLACK wires. The AC power input uses BROWN and BLUE wires. The fan motor connections are BROWN (Fan/Live) and BLUE (Fan/Neutral), with a separate connection for the light (LIGHT/LIVE). The diagram emphasizes that the IR sensor must be installed outside the fan canopy.
Receiver Installation
This section shows how to install the receiver into the ceiling fan canopy. It details the wiring from the AC power supply (GREEN/YELLOW for Ground, BLACK for Light/Live, BROWN for Fan/Live, BLUE for Fan/Neutral) to the receiver, and then from the receiver to the fan and light components. The IR sensor is depicted in its position near the ceiling.
Battery Replacement
Instructions for replacing batteries in the transmitter. The remote control features a sliding cover for battery access and requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries.
Transmitter Wall Mount Holder
A description of the included wall mount holder for the transmitter. It indicates that the holder is installed using two screws.
- This remote controller is ONLY applicable to drop rod styles.
- Follow the wiring connection diagrams below and IR sensor MUST be installed outside the canopy.
- Incorrect wire connection would damage the receiver.
- Once the connection is made, insert the receiver into the drop rod hanging bracket and cover it with the canopy.
- To change the batteries, just slide out the cover. Remote uses 2pcs x 1.5V/AAA batteries.
