Customize Your WiFi Network on ONT Modems (Fiber Optic)
Introduction
This guide explains how to personalize your WiFi network name (SSID) and password on your Telmex Infinitum Fiber Optic ONT modem.

Step 1: Initial Connection
Open your preferred Internet browser: Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera or Google.
To make the change, you must be connected to your modem via cable or wirelessly.

Step 2: Accessing the Modem Interface
Access the modem's configuration interface by entering the following address in the browser bar: http://192.168.1.254
Enter the following data:
- Username: TELMEX (uppercase).
- Password: you will find it on the label where it says 'Password (WPA)'.

⚠️ To always keep your equipment updated, never turn off or restart your modem.

Step 3: Modifying Network Settings
Modify the network name, password, and security with the following steps:
- Go to the 'Network' menu option.
- Click where it says 'Wi Fi'.
- In the 'SSID Name' field, enter the network name you desire.
- Where it says 'Encryption Mode', ensure the option 'WPA2-PSK' is selected.
- Where it says 'WPA Password', enter the password you desire.
- Press 'Save'.

Step 4: Completion
Done! The network name, password, and security have been changed on your modem.
Now open your browser and enjoy your Infinitum connection.
NOTE: It is important that you make this change on each of the devices you use to access your wireless network.
