Overview

The SpeedFace-V5L[QR] series devices are advanced biometric terminals for access control and time attendance.

Recommended Palm Gestures

Note:

  1. Place your palm within 30 to 50 cm of the device.
  2. Place your palm in the palm collection area, such that the palm is placed parallel to the device.
  3. Make sure to keep space between your fingers.

Installation Requirements

Distance (between face and device) 30 to 120cm (0.98ft to 3.94ft) The recommended distance is 80cm (2.62ft).
Measurement Accuracy ±0.3°C (±0.54°F) Tested at a distance of 80cm or 2.63ft under 25°C (77°F) environment.

Note: The temperature measurement data is only for reference, and not for any medical purposes.

Device Installation

Example: SpeedFace-V5L[QR][TI]

  1. Attach the mounting template sticker to the wall, and drill holes according to the mounting paper. Fix the back plate on the wall using wall mounting screws.
  2. Attach the device to the back plate.
  3. Fasten the device to the back plate with a security screw.

Power Connection

Recommended power supply:

Ethernet Connection

Default IP address: 192.168.1.201, Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

ZKBioSecurity IP address: 192.168.1.130, Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

To set the IP address: Click [COMM.] > [Ethernet] > [IP Address], input the IP address and click [OK].

Note: In LAN, IP addresses of the server (PC) and the device must be in the same network segment when connecting to ZKBioSecurity software.

Door Sensor, Exit Button & Alarm Connection

Lock Relay Connection

The system supports both Normally Opened (NO) Lock and Normally Closed (NC) Lock.

Power can be shared with the lock or used separately. Examples provided for NC Lock connection, both with and without power sharing.

Wiegand Reader Connection

Wiegand card reader connects to the top 4 pins of the wiegand terminal. The last two pins are used by the Access controller. It sends credentials via wiegand communication.

RS485 and RS232 Connection

Allows connection of multiple readers. Two RS232 and one RS485 can be connected.

User Registration

Method 1: Register on the device

Navigate to > [User Mgt.] > [New User]. Options include User ID, Name, User Role, Palm, Face, Card Number, Password, and Profile Photo.

Method 2: Register on ZKBioSecurity software

  1. In the software, go to [Access] > [Access Device] > [Device] > [Search Device].
  2. Click [Add] to configure Icon type, Area, and Add to Level.
  3. Register new users via [Personnel] > [Person] > [New].
  4. Synchronize data using [Access] > [Device] > [Device Control] > [Synchronize All Data to Devices].

Method 3: Register on the phone

  1. In ZKBioSecurity software, go to [Personnel] > [Parameters] and input the server address and port to generate a QR code.
  2. Scan the QR code or visit the provided URL on a mobile phone to register users.
  3. Users can be managed via [Personnel] > [Temporary Personnel] > [Review].

Ethernet and Cloud Server Settings

Network Parameters: Click > [COMM.] > [Ethernet] to set network parameters. A successful TCP/IP connection is indicated by a specific icon.

Cloud Server Settings: Click > [COMM.] > [Cloud Server Setting] to set the server address and port. Successful communication is indicated by a specific icon.

Note: Ensure 'Enable Domain Name' is disabled and the correct server address and port are entered when pairing with ZKBioSecurity software.

Access Control Setting

Navigate to > [Access Control] to configure access control parameters.

Options include Access Control Options, Time Rule setting, Holidays, Verification Mode, Anti-passback Setup, Duress Options, etc.

Attendance Record

Navigate to > [Attendance Search] > [Event Logs] to query attendance logs.

Users can input User ID and select a time range to view event logs.

Navigate to > [System] > [Detection Management] to configure settings.

Notes on Temperature Detection

Real-time monitoring on the ZKBioSecurity software

Users can perform temperature detection management via the ZKBioSecurity software.

  1. Set IP address and cloud server address on the device and add it to the software.
  2. View real-time monitoring of events like Abnormal Temperature, No Masks, and Normal Records via [Temperature Detection] > [Temperature Management] > [Real-time monitoring].
  3. Analyze statistical data and view personnel with normal temperatures via [Temperature Management] > [Statistics Panel].

QR Code Verification

Configuration: In ZKBioSecurity software, go to [System] > [Basic Management] > [Parameters] and set 'Enable QR Code' to 'Yes'.

Server Setup: Choose [System] > [Authority Management] > [Client Register] to add an App client.

Mobile App Usage: Enter server IP/domain and port in the app. Scan the QR code of the app client. Tap 'Employee' to log in with Employee ID and Password.

Mobile Credential: Tap [Mobile Credential] on the app to display a QR code. Align the phone screen with the device's QR code scanner.

Note: Place phone within 15 to 50cm of the device. Do not block the scanner or the QR code on the phone.
