2. Product Overview
The go-e Charger PRO includes the following components:
- a. RFID Chip: For identification and access control.
- b. Reset Card: Used for resetting the device.
- c. Charging Station: The main unit with a permanently attached charging cable and Type 2 plug (6 meters).
- d. RFID Reader: Integrated into the unit for reading RFID tags.
- e. LED Ring: Provides visual status indication.
- f. Display of Charged kWh: Shows the amount of energy charged.
3. Scope of Delivery

4. Installation / Commissioning
Tools required: Screwdriver (PZ1, TX20), drill, hammer, level, measuring tape.
Safety First: Ensure the power supply is disconnected before starting installation. High voltage warning [!] is present.
Installation Steps:
- Mount the wall bracket securely to the wall or a compatible pole. Ensure it is level.
- Drill holes (Ø 8 mm) for mounting the charger unit. The recommended mounting height is between 0.5 and 1.5 meters above the ground.
- Connect the charger to the power supply, including the RCD/FI (Residual Current Device/Fuse) as per local regulations.
- Secure the charger unit to the wall bracket using the provided screws.
- Install cable glands for power and communication cables as needed.
5. Data Communication Options
The go-e Charger PRO supports various data communication options:
- RJ45: For wired network connection.
- Wi-Fi: For wireless network connection (802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz).
- LTE: For cellular network connectivity.
- GPRS/EDGE: For cellular network connectivity.
- RFID: For access control via RFID tags.
6. Connection Variants
The charger supports different connection types based on the installation:
- Variant A (Rear Connection): For 1-phase or 3-phase grid connection, with cable entry from the rear.
- Variant B (Bottom Connection): For 1-phase or 3-phase grid connection, with cable entry from the bottom.
- Variant C (Top Connection): For 1-phase or 3-phase grid connection, with cable entry from the top.
Specific cable gland sizes (Ø10-15 mm, Ø15-20 mm) and torque specifications (e.g., 2.0 x 15mm screws with 2.7 Nm torque) are provided for secure installation.
Cable routing options include cutouts for both GRID CABLE and ETHERNET CABLE.
7. go-e Portal & App
Manage your go-e Charger PRO via the go-e Portal or the go-e App. Access the portal at portal.go-e.com. The app is available on Google Play and the App Store.
The charger can be visualized in use with an electric vehicle, showing charging status and energy consumption.
8. Safety & Compliance Notes
General Safety: Always follow safety regulations. The charger is for electric vehicles only. Avoid contact with water, flammable substances, and extreme temperatures. Keep away from children and individuals with electronic implants. Never cover the charger during operation.
Electrical Safety: High voltage is present. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure all connections are secure and the circuit is de-energized before working on it. The charger is classified as Class III equipment for electrical shock protection.
Ground Check: The charger has a safety function that prevents charging in TT/TN grids if the power connection is not properly grounded. This function is enabled by default and can be deactivated via the go-e app if you are certain the grid is IT (earthed) and requires charging.
Charging Plug: Handle the charging plug with care. Ensure it is clean and dry before use. Never pull the cable; grip the plug to disconnect.
Metering Compliance: The PRO is certified as a 3-phase active electricity meter (MID accuracy class B). It is suitable for impedance-grounded networks where permitted by local regulations.
Maintenance & Repair: Only authorized go-e GmbH personnel should perform repairs or modifications. The device is maintenance-free but can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or high-pressure cleaners.
Disposal: Electrical devices must be disposed of at designated collection points according to WEEE directive. Dispose of batteries separately. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste.
