Instructions
Add Device to the SwitchBot App
Connect to Power
Connect the camera to a power supply using the provided cable. The LED indicator light will flash red upon connection.
Download and Install App
Download the SwitchBot app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Add the Camera
- Open the SwitchBot app. Create a SwitchBot account or sign in.
- Ensure the camera is powered on and placed near your router.
- Tap the "+" icon on the Home page, select the Pan/Tilt Cam 2K, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Precautions
- Ensure your phone screen is bright enough for the camera to scan the QR code for internet access.
- Disable your Wi-Fi's anti-rub function to prevent connection failures.
- Connect the camera to a 802.11b/g/n, 2.4GHz, IPV4 wireless network.
How to Install
Option 1: Place on a Table
Position the camera on a stable, flat surface.
Option 2: Mount on Ceiling or Wall
- Attach the provided sticker to the desired mounting surface. Ensure the location is at least 1 meter (3.3 ft) from the floor for optimal viewing.
- Install the base onto the sticker.
- Firmly attach the camera onto the base.
- If mounting on a ceiling, enable the 'Flip Screen' function in the app under Pan/Tilt Cam 2K > Settings > Basic Settings.
Features
1. Pan-Tilt Control
Control the camera's vertical (115° visual angle) and horizontal (360° visual angle) movement remotely via the app to view different angles.
2. Motion Detection
When enabled, the camera captures a photo and records a video of detected motion (requires memory card and recording enabled). Notifications are sent if enabled.
3. Motion Tracking
When enabled, the camera follows moving objects, keeping them centered by rotating horizontally or vertically. It also records these events (requires memory card and recording enabled).
4. Third-Party Integration
Integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. Link your SwitchBot account via the app's Cloud Services settings.
Example commands: "Alexa, show my Pan/Tilt Cam." or "Hey Google, show my Pan/Tilt Cam."
5. Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to infrared and black-and-white video in low light conditions. The 'Auto' setting ensures it activates when needed.
6. Privacy Mode
When activated, the camera enters hibernation, retracting its lens. Image-related features like motion detection are disabled.
Resetting Factory Settings
Locate the reset hole. Use the reset pin to press and hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds until a prompt tone is heard. The camera will then be ready for network reconfiguration.
