Operating Instructions
To operate the SZ-PPA2:
- Connect the audio outputs from your turntable to either the RCA or DIN input on the SZ-PPA2.
- If necessary, connect the turntable's ground wire to the Ground Terminal (10) to minimize hum.
- Connect the supplied 12V DC power adapter to the DC12V Power Input (11) and plug it into a mains outlet.
- Press the Power Button (2) to turn the unit on. The Power Indicator (1) will illuminate.
- Adjust the Input Gain Knob (6) to set the input signal level. The Signal Indicator (5) will show when a signal is received. Aim to avoid clipping (when the red indicator lights up) by reducing the input gain if necessary.
- Connect the SZ-PPA2's outputs (RCA or DIN) to your amplifier, mixer, or recording device. Ensure you do not use both RCA and DIN outputs at the same time.
- Connect headphones to the Headphone Output (3) to monitor your audio signal.
- Adjust the Monitor Level Knob (7) to control the headphone volume.
- Use the Filter Button (4) to engage the low-cut filter, reducing frequencies below 100Hz by -3dB, which can help reduce turntable rumble.
