Programmes Explained
Always respect the care labels on your laundry. The tub symbol indicates the maximum washing temperature.
- Mixed: For lightly to normally soiled garments in cotton, linen, synthetic fibres, and mixed fibres.
- (White) Whites: For normally to heavily soiled towels, underwear, table and bed linen in resilient cotton and linen. A prewash phase is included at 90°C.
- Cotton: For normally to heavily soiled and robust cottons.
- Eco 40-60: For normally soiled cotton garments declared washable at 40°C or 60°C, washed together. This is the most efficient programme for energy and water consumption.
- Bed linen: For washing bed linen and towels in a single cycle. Optimises softener performance and saves time and energy. Powder detergent is recommended.
- Sport: For washing lightly soiled sports clothing. Use liquid detergent and do not exceed the maximum load.
- Duvet (Duvets): For eiderdown padded items like duvets, cushions, and anoraks. Fold edges inwards and do not exceed 3/4 of the drum's volume. Liquid detergent is recommended.
- Steam Refresh: Refreshes garments by removing odours and relaxing fibres (2 kg, approx. 3 items). Use dry items only. Garments will be slightly damp and wearable after a few minutes. Makes ironing easier. Not recommended for wool or silk. Do not add softeners or detergents.
- Spin & Drain (Spin + Drain): Spins the load and then empties the water. For resilient garments.
- Rinse & Spin (Rinse + Spin): Rinses and then spins. For resilient garments.
- Rapid 30min (Rapid 30'): For washing lightly soiled garments quickly. Lasts only 30 minutes, saving time and energy.
- 20°C: For washing lightly soiled cotton garments at 20°C.
- Silk: For washing all silk garments. Use special detergent for delicate clothes.
- Wool: For all wool garments, including "hand-wash only" labels. Use special detergents and do not exceed the maximum load.
- Delicates: For particularly delicate garments. Turn garments inside out before washing.
- Synthetics: For washing soiled garments made from synthetic fibres (polyester, acrylic, viscose) or cotton/synthetic blends.
First Time Use
On first use, you will be prompted to select the language. Press the "Temperature" or "Start delay" buttons to select, and the "Spin" button to confirm. To change the language, switch off the machine and simultaneously press and hold the "Key lock", "Intensive rinse", and "FreshCare+" buttons until an alarm is heard. The language selection menu will then be displayed.
Initial Wash: To remove any manufacturing residues, select the "Cotton" programme at 60°C. Add a small amount of detergent (1/3 of the recommended dose for lightly soiled laundry) to the main wash compartment. Start the programme without laundry.
Daily Use

Hints and Tips
- Sort laundry: By fabric type/care label, colour (separate whites and colours, wash new coloured items separately), and delicates (use a cloth bag or pillowcase for small items like nylon stockings or bras with hooks).
- Empty pockets: Remove coins, lighters, etc., as they can damage laundry and the drum.
- Dosage: Follow detergent dosage recommendations to optimize cleaning, avoid residues, and save money.
- Use low temperature and longer duration: These programmes are generally more energy-efficient.
- Observe load sizes: Load the washing machine up to the capacity indicated in the "PROGRAMME CHART" table to save water and energy.
- Noise and remaining moisture content: Influenced by spin speed. Higher spin speed means higher noise and lower moisture content.
Descale and Clean Procedure
The display will periodically advise (approx. every 50 cycles) to run an automatic cleaning cycle to clean the machine and combat limescale and bad odours. For optimal maintenance, use WPRO Limescale and grease remover according to package instructions. Contact technical assistance or visit www.whirlpool.eu. Whirlpool is not liable for damages caused by other cleaning products.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Switch off and unplug the washing machine before cleaning. Do not use flammable fluids.
- Clean periodically (at least 4 times per year).
- Cleaning the outside: Use a soft damp cloth. Do not use glass cleaners, scouring powder, or similar products on the control panel, as they may damage the printing.
- Checking the water supply hose: Regularly check the inlet hose for brittleness and cracks. Replace if damaged. If the hose has a transparent coating, check for colour intensification, which may indicate a leak.
- Cleaning the water filter / draining residual water: If a hot wash programme was used, wait for the water to cool. Clean the water filter regularly to prevent blockages. If water cannot drain, the display may indicate a clogged filter. Remove the plinth using a screwdriver. Place a container beneath the filter to collect draining water. Slowly turn the filter counterclockwise until water flows out. Let water drain, then close the filter by turning clockwise. Empty the container and repeat if necessary. Lay a cotton cloth beneath the filter to absorb residual water. Remove the filter by turning it counterclockwise. Clean the filter under running water. Reinsert the filter by turning it clockwise until it is fully inserted, with the handle in a vertical position. Test for water tightness by pouring about 1 liter of water into the detergent dispenser. Reinstall the plinth.
Accessories
Contact After-Sales Service for available accessories, such as stacking kit shelves to fix a dryer on top of the washing machine.
Transport and Handling
Never lift the washing machine by the worktop. Pull out the mains plug and close the water tap. Ensure the door and detergent dispenser are closed. Disconnect the inlet hose from the tap and the drain hose from the drain point. Remove all residual water from the hoses and secure them. Refit the transport bolts, following the installation guide in reverse order.
