This document provides instructions for the Ibiza Sound FREESOUND-VR30BL-DAB and FREESOUND-VR40BK-DAB rechargeable vintage radios with DAB+/FM, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connectivity.
Product Overview
The FREESOUND-VR30BL-DAB and FREESOUND-VR40BK-DAB are rechargeable vintage-style radios offering DAB+/FM reception, Bluetooth streaming, USB playback, and AUX input. They are designed for indoor use only.
Important Safety Instructions
- Always adhere to safety instructions and warnings provided in the manual.
- Operate the device only in dry, closed rooms, away from water sources like bathrooms or swimming pools.
- Avoid extreme temperatures (< +5°C / > +35°C), strong vibrations, heavy mechanical strain, and excessive moisture.
- Do not place liquid-filled containers or small objects on or near the appliance, as they could cause damage or injury.
- Never place the appliance on an unstable or movable surface.

Battery Recommendations & Warnings
Used batteries should not be disposed of with household waste but deposited in separate collection points for recycling ♻️. There is a risk of explosion if the battery is incorrectly placed; replace only with the same or equivalent type. Keep new and old batteries out of reach of children ?. If the battery compartment does not close properly, stop using the product.
Lithium-Ion Battery Notes: Charge the battery fully before first use and regularly thereafter. Never allow the battery to discharge completely, as this can lead to capacity loss or permanent damage. If the unit is not used for an extended period, charge the battery to 40% and check/charge monthly. Batteries are not covered by the warranty.
Charging the Battery
Connect the mini-USB connector of the supplied USB charging cable to the 5V DC USB socket on the rear panel of the radio and the other end to a suitable USB port or mains adapter. Ensure the radio is switched off after use.

Radio ON | Short press to switch into standby mode: displays the time and date. In alarm mode, a short press turns off the current alarm. The alarm will sound again at the same time the next day if not deactivated. | |
MENU/INFO | DAB/FM mode | Short press to display current channel information. Long press to enter the DAB/FM menu. Press the "ENTER" knob to confirm selections. In the menu interface, a short press of the menu button returns to the previous menu. |
PRESET | DAB/FM mode | Storing radio stations: Short press to display all available stations. Rotate the "VOLUME" knob to select a station to store. Long press the "VOLUME" button to save the station to memory. If the station is already stored, its information will display. If not, the storage slot will show as empty. Up to 30 stations can be stored. Selecting a stored radio station: Long press to display stored stations. Rotate the "ENTER/VOLUME/SCAN" knob to select a station and press the knob to confirm. |

Setting Date and Time
Long press the "INFO/MENU" button to access system settings. Rotate the "ENTER/VOLUME/SCAN" knob until "Time" is displayed. Press ENTER. Rotate the ENTER knob to set the time and date. Press the button to confirm.
Setting the Alarm
Press the ALARM button. Use the "ENTER/VOLUME/SCAN" knob to select alarm number (1 or 2) and set it to "ON" or "OFF". Configure alarm time, duration, source (Buzzer/FM/DAB/USB), frequency, and volume using the "ENTER/VOLUME/SCAN" knob.
Pairing with a Bluetooth Device
Keep the radio and Bluetooth device within 1 meter. Press the "M" button to select Bluetooth mode. Press the PLAY/PAUSE/PAIR button to activate Bluetooth search. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device and select the radio model from the list of found devices. The radio will automatically connect to previously paired devices when turned on.
Using as a Wired Speaker
Connect one end of the 3.5mm auxiliary lead to the AUX IN jack on the rear panel and the other end to your device's headphone jack. Use the VOLUME control to adjust the sound level.
USB Player
Insert a USB device into the USB port to play music. Use the skip buttons (◄◄ / ►) to navigate tracks and control playback (play/pause).
FM Radio
Extend the FM antenna for best reception. Adjust or position the antenna as needed for specific stations. Use the ENTER/VOLUME/SCAN knob to tune FM stations.
