- Use only with the supplied Adaptor/Transformer.
- Do not connect the set electrically to another set.
- Ensure that all of the cable is completely uncoiled whilst the set is in use. Failure to do so may cause over-heating and subsequent malfunction.

Genio Christmas Lights Wi-Fi Adaptor Pairing Information
Regardless of whether it is a fairy light, icicle light, festoon light, LED tree, or Sparking Ball, if they are using a Wi-Fi enabled adaptor, the pairing process is identical.
1. Install the App and Register Account
For the best experience, download the "Mirabella Genio" App to your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play. The App icon will be displayed after it's installed successfully. Open the App and register an account.
Bluetooth Pairing Assistant Function (on selected models only)
Our latest Genio smart Wi-Fi lighting range has a Bluetooth pairing assistant function to make pairing even easier. To take advantage of this function, please turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
EZ Method (when the light is fast blinking, 1 blink per second)
- Connect the light chain to the Wi-Fi adaptor and fully uncoil the light chain.
- Plug the Wi-Fi adaptor into the power point and power on. The LED on the adaptor will start to rapidly blink. The adaptor must remain indoors and closer to the router to get the best Wi-Fi signal coverage.
- If the LED doesn't start blinking automatically, press and hold the pairing button on the Wi-Fi adaptor until the LED on the adaptor starts to fast blink (1 blink per second).
- Open and log in to the Mirabella Genio App. Tap on the '+' icon on the top right corner. The App will automatically detect the smart device in your local network. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the smart device to your Genio App. Ensure you use the correct 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi name and password to connect (do not use Wi-Fi names that end with -5G).
AP Method (light is slowly blinking, 1 blink per every 2 seconds)
Recommended method for Telstra NBN users.
- Open the Mirabella Genio App, tap on '+', then 'Add Manually', and select 'Genio Fairy Light'.
- Enter your Wi-Fi name and password. On the device reset screen, tap on 'EZ Mode' in the top right corner (below the battery icon) and select 'AP Mode'.
- Confirm the indicator is slowly blinking. Hit 'Next', then go to connect and connect to the Wi-Fi network named 'SmartLife_XXXX'.
- Note: If you do not see a Wi-Fi name beginning with 'SmartLife_XXXX', then the device is not slowly blinking; please reset it.
- After connecting to 'SmartLife_XXXX', return to the Mirabella Genio App. The App will start the countdown process and add the devices.
Troubleshooting and Important Notes
Timeout Error Cause
Please pay attention to the screen to determine the cause of a time-out error.
- If the light never stops blinking, the issue is with your phone's settings. If using iPhone iOS 14, ensure local network permission is turned on.
- If the light stops blinking but is unable to progress to "Register on Cloud", it indicates a communication error with your router to our cloud service (check router settings).
Connection Checks
- Ensure you enter the correct 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi name and password.
- Your light is receiving a good Wi-Fi signal; move it closer to the router and retry.
- Disable 5Ghz Wi-Fi signal and retry.
- If you have no luck with an Android phone, try using an iPhone or iPad to pair it.
Further Assistance
If you still have issues with pairing after using the AP method, please check our FAQ pages at: www.mirabellagenio.com.au/faqs.
If you can pair the light to the App but cannot control it via the App, or the light doesn't power on, check the connection between the light and the adaptor.
