Congratulations on your purchase of this Pyle Cycle Series premier amplified speaker system. Like all Pyle products, this motorcycle system has been thoroughly tested to ensure consistent, reliable performance under rigorous conditions. Pyle systems are designed to withstand water, moisture, heat, and direct sun exposure. Installation Instructions
- Install "P" shaped clamp (Item #2) or "Z" shaped clamp (Item #3) threaded onto the bottom of each speaker enclosure (Item #1). Use the provided bolts (Item #14).
- Bolt each speaker with its mount to the handlebar of the vehicle. Hardware included allows for mounting on 1" diameter and smaller handlebars. Project each speaker at the desired listening level for best performance.
- Secure speaker wires either through handlebars for a custom look, or use wire ties (Item #13) to secure to the handlebars.
- Bolt the rotary volume control (Item #11) to the handlebars using the vehicle's provided hardware. Run the 3.5mm connection down to the desired amplifier location. Use wire ties (Item #13) to secure to the handlebars, keeping the 3.5mm male connection close to the mount. The connector pre-installed on the amplifier wire harness (Item #8) is designed for direct plug-in for most American Motorcycles (Item #9). For metric or universal vehicles, this harness will not be used and should be replaced with the terminals/connectors provided in the parts bag according to installation instructions (Items #6, #7, & #8). Follow wire instructions as shown in Diagram A. Ensure proper polarity for all connections: solid color wire for speaker terminals is (+), wire with stripe is (-). Blue wire is the 12 Volt Positive (+) terminal trigger wire. Black wire is the 12 Volt (-) Ground to the vehicle chassis.
- Bolt the Universal Handlebar MP3/Audio Mount (Item #5) using the provided black industrial Velcro adhesive strips (Item #12). Remove the bolt from the existing switch housing on the motorcycle and secure it to the bracket.
- (Only for use with PLMCA60): Bolt the USB Charger/Power Source (Item #10) using vehicle-provided hardware. Connect this wire to a 12 Volt power source.
- Run wires up to the neck area of the motorcycle and plug into the harness. Use wire ties (Item #13) to secure to the frame.
- Bolt the amplifier onto the Motorcycle with the provided bolt (Item #15). Best if mounted directly to the frame, out of reach from direct heat or crash bars.
- Attach Velcro strips (Item #12) – one side to the Universal Bracket (Item #5) and the other to your MP3 player/audio source.
- Connect the 3.5mm male connection into the audio device and the opposite side into the Micro Amplifier.
