Installation
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Points
Confirm the installation distance based on the ceiling opening's position and height. Drill vertical installation holes, insert expansion screws, screw the threaded rod into the expansion screw, and fasten the rod.
Cut the rod to the required vertical distance from the installation wall to the ceiling decorative surface:
- Type A: 120-130 mm
- Type B: 80-90 mm
Step 2: Mount the Screen
Lift the screen carefully, guiding the threaded rod through the suspension holes on each side. Attach and secure the screen with nuts and washers. Use tools to evenly tighten the nuts on both sides until the screen is firmly positioned against the ceiling.
Decorative Cover Installation
Step 1: Attach Decorative Covers
Install the left decorative cover on the end with the power cord, following the illustrated steps. The procedure for the right decorative cover is identical.
Before starting, ensure the opening has sufficient clearance. Connect the infrared line, then gently stretch the spring and attach it to the decorative cover's hook through the circular opening.
Step 2: Adjust Hook Position
The hook position on the decorative cover can be adjusted. Use the hexagon wrench to turn the hook screw counter-clockwise to loosen it. Once positioned correctly, reinsert the screw and tighten it clockwise, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened to avoid damaging the cover.
Screen Tension Line Adjustment
Grasp the bottom bar securely. Insert the smaller end of the limit adjustment key into the hexagonal opening of the bottom bar and apply gentle pressure to engage. Adjust the tension shaft by rotating (clockwise to increase tension, counter-clockwise to decrease) until it moves freely. Set the desired tension, then release the key to let the shaft reset, finalizing the adjustment.
Alternatively, gently press inward to adjust the tension shaft until it can rotate freely (turn clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen). Adjust the tension line to the required tightness, release the pressing force to let the shaft pop out and reset, completing the adjustment.
Control Methods
This product offers four control methods:
- Manual Control Button: Located on the left side of the case, this is a cycle control button.
- IR Remote Control: Requires an IR receiver.
- External Control: Via a wired connection.
- RS232 / RS485 Control: For integration with automation systems.
Manual Control
The manual control button allows you to move the screen Up, Stop, or Down.
IR Remote Control
Use the remote control's 'Up' button to retract the screen, 'Stop' to pause, and 'Down' to extend the screen.
Pairing with Trigger Lumene: Connect power to the screen. Pairing mode is active for 10 seconds. During this time, press the pairing switch on the trigger transmitter. Successful pairing is indicated by the screen moving up and down slightly.
Un-pairing: Unplug and reconnect the screen to power. Pairing mode is activated for 10 seconds, during which pairing is removed.
External Control
Connect the RJ12 6P6C connector. Pin assignments are typically:
- Pins 3-6: Control signal cable
- Pin 3: Common cable
- Pin 4: Stop
- Pin 5: Down
- Pin 6: Up
RS232 / RS485 Control
For integration with home automation systems, use the RS232 or RS485 interface. Refer to the wiring diagrams for pin assignments.
RS485 Connections: Pin 1 (D-), Pin 2 (D+).
RS232 Connections: Typically TXD, GND, etc. Refer to the provided diagram.
RS232 Sequences (Hexadecimal):
- Up: FF EE EE EE DD
- Stop: FF EE EE EE CC
- Down: FF EE EE EE EE
- Enable RS232 Control (if needed): FF EE EE EE AA
Settings: Bits/sec: 2400, Data bits: 8, Parity: None, Stop bit: 1, Flow control: None.
Lower & Upper Stops Settings (Extradrop)
The extradrop is the black border area of the screen material above the projection area. Its height can be adjusted to vertically position the projection area.
Important Note: By default, the screen stops are perfectly adjusted. Lumene does not recommend user adjustments to prevent potential product damage. Any damage from improper user adjustment will void the warranty. If adjustment is necessary, proceed with extreme care.
Step 1: Locate Adjustment Screws
Locate the adjustment screws on the left side of the screen casing. There are two screws: a green screw (for the upper stop) and a yellow screw (for the lower stop).
Step 2: Adjust Stops
Briefly trigger the screen to open it slightly, allowing the fabric to roll down a few inches. Use the provided adjustment key to adjust the stops.
Adjusting the Lower Stop (Extradrop) - YELLOW Screw
- Clockwise: Sets a higher stop position. This adjustment is not directly visible on the screen; you must raise and lower the screen using the remote to see the effect.
- Counter-clockwise: Sets a lower stop position. This adjustment is directly visible as the screen lowers in successive notches.
Adjusting the Upper Stop - GREEN Screw
- Clockwise: Sets a lower stop position. This adjustment is not directly visible on the screen; you must raise and lower the screen using the remote to see the effect.
- Counter-clockwise: Sets a higher stop position. This adjustment is directly visible as the screen lowers in successive notches.
Precautions for Use
Important Operating Considerations: Setting up your screen is easy but must be done carefully to ensure its durability. Before first use, always position your screen horizontally on a stable and flat surface.
Warnings:
- Do not hang or place anything on top of the screen case when the screen is unrolled.
- Do not put your finger inside the case when retracting the screen fabric.
- Dust and scratches reduce image quality. Please pay particular attention to the following points:
- Do not touch the screen surface with your hands.
- Do not draw on the screen surface.
- Do not scratch the screen with hard, sharp objects.
- Never use chemicals to clean the screen surface.
- Ensure there are no insects or debris on the screen before retracting it.
- To remove dust from the screen, use a dry, soft-haired brush and rub gently.
- Close the screen to protect the fabric.
Note: The screen is equipped with an over-limit protection switch. If the screen fabric exceeds the retraction threshold, the bottom bar activates a switch causing it to automatically lower, preventing damage. If this occurs, you need to readjust the upper stop (green screw).
