Installation

Diagram illustrating Step 1: Drilling installation holes, inserting expansion screws, and fixing the threaded rod.

Step 1: Prepare Mounting Points

Confirm the installation distance based on the position and height of the ceiling opening. Drill vertical installation holes, insert expansion screws, screw the rod into the expansion screw, and fasten the rod.

Cut the rod to the vertical distance from the installation wall to the ceiling decorative surface: Type A: 120-130 mm, Type B: 80-90 mm.

Step 2: Attach Threaded Rods

Diagram illustrating Step 2, showing the threaded rod being inserted into the ceiling.

Step 3: Mount the Screen

Lift the screen with caution, guiding the threaded rod through the suspension holes on each side. Attach and secure the screen with nuts and washers. Use tools to evenly tighten the nuts on both sides until the screen is firmly positioned against the ceiling.

Center the screen horizontally in the ceiling opening. Adjust the screen position if there is a deviation in the installation hole position; the maximum adjustment cannot exceed 50mm.

Decorative Cover Installation

Diagram showing the installation of the left decorative cover.

Step 1: Install Covers

Install the left decorative cover on the end with the power cord, following the illustrated steps. The procedure for installing the right decorative cover is identical.

Before starting installation, confirm the opening has sufficient clearance. Connect the infrared line, then slightly stretch the spring and attach it to the decorative cover's hook through the spring's circular opening.

Slide the two tabs of the left decorative cover into the corresponding grooves of the casing and engage the tabs into the inner slot.

Press the left decorative cover smoothly against the ceiling, ensuring it is level with the casing on both sides, then push directly towards the wall until it is aligned with the casing.

Diagrams illustrating inserting the cover, engaging tabs, and pushing the cover into place.

Step 2: Adjust Hook Position

The hook position on the decorative cover can be adjusted as follows:

Use a hexagon wrench to turn counterclockwise and loosen the hook screw. The hook can be moved back and forth.

Once positioned correctly, reinsert the screw and tighten it clockwise, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened to avoid damaging the decorative cover.

Diagrams showing counter-clockwise loosening and clockwise tightening of the hook screw.

Screen Tension Line Adjustment

Grasp the bottom bar securely. Insert the smaller end of the limit adjustment key into the hexagonal opening of the bottom bar and apply gentle pressure to engage. Adjust the tension shaft by rotating (clockwise to increase tension, counter-clockwise to decrease) until it moves freely. Set the desired tension, then release the key to let the shaft reset, finalizing the adjustment.

Alternatively, gently push inward to adjust the tension shaft until it rotates freely (turn clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen). Adjust the tension line to the required tightness, release the pressing force to let the shaft pop out and reset, completing the adjustment.

Control Methods

This product offers four control methods:

  1. Manual Control Button
  2. IR Remote Control (IR Receiver Needed)
  3. External Control
  4. RS232/RS485 Control

1. Manual Control

The manual control button is located on the left side of the case and functions in a cycle: UP, STOP, DOWN, STOP.

Diagram showing the manual control buttons: UP, STOP, DOWN.

2. IR Remote Control

Daily Use: Press the 'Up' button to retract the screen, 'Stop' to pause, and 'Down' to extend the screen to its set position.

Pairing with Lumene Trigger: Connect power to the screen. Pairing mode is active for 10 seconds. During this time, press the pairing switch on the trigger transmitter. Pairing is successful if the screen moves up and down a few centimeters.

Un-pairing: Unplug and reconnect the screen to power. Pairing mode is activated for 10 seconds. Pairing is removed.

3. External Control

Connect the RJ12 6P6C connector. Pinout (from left to right): Pins 3-6 are control signal cables, Pin 3 is common, Pin 4 is Stop, Pin 5 is Down, Pin 6 is Up.

4. RS232/RS485 Control

Connections: RJ12 6P6C connector. Pins 1-2 are control cables. RS485: Pin 1 is D-, Pin 2 is D+. RS232: Refer to the diagram.

RS232 Sequences (Hexadecimal): Up: FF EE EE EE DD, Stop: FF EE EE EE CC, Down: FF EE EE EE EE. An enable command (FF EE EE EE AA) may be required.

Settings: Bits/sec: 2400, Data bits: 8, Parity: None, Stop bit: 1, Flow control: None.

Lower & Upper Stops Settings (Extradrop)

The extradrop is the black border area of the screen above the projection area. Its height can be adjusted to position the projection area vertically.

Important Note: By default, screen stops are perfectly adjusted. Lumene does not recommend adjustments to prevent potential product damage. Any damage from improper user adjustment will void the warranty. If adjustments are necessary, proceed with extreme caution.

For all settings, face the projection surface.

Step 1: Locate Adjustment Screws

Locate the adjustment screws on the left side of the case, revealed by an opening. There are two screws: a green screw (upper stop) and a yellow screw (lower stop).

Diagram showing the location of the green and yellow adjustment screws.

Step 2: Trigger Screen Movement

Briefly trigger the screen opening to lower the screen slightly. Use the provided adjustment key to adjust the stops.

Step 3: Adjusting Lower Stop (Yellow Screw)

Clockwise: Sets a higher upper stop. This adjustment is not directly visible on the screen; you must raise and lower the screen using the remote to see the effect.

Counter-clockwise: Sets a lower upper stop. This adjustment is directly visible as the screen lowers in successive notches.

Step 4: Adjusting Upper Stop (Green Screw)

Clockwise: Sets a lower lower stop. This adjustment is not directly visible on the screen; you must raise and lower the screen using the remote to see the effect.

Counter-clockwise: Sets a higher lower stop. This adjustment is directly visible as the screen lowers in successive notches.

Precautions for Use

Important Operating Considerations: Setting up is easy but must be done carefully to ensure durability. Before first use, always position your screen horizontally on a stable, flat surface.

Warnings:

Note: The screen is equipped with an over-limit protection switch. If the screen exceeds the retraction threshold, the bottom bar activates a switch that automatically lowers it to prevent damage. If this occurs, you need to readjust the upper stop (green screw).
