Remarks and Disposal
Note on Disposal: The symbol of a crossed-out trash bin ?️ on batteries or accumulators indicates that they must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of their life. If batteries or accumulators contain mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), or lead (Pb), the corresponding chemical symbol will be found below the crossed-out trash bin symbol. You are legally obligated to return old batteries and accumulators after use. This can be done free of charge at retail stores or other collection points near you.
Information on Electrical and Electronic Equipment: This note is for private end-users. Electrical and electronic equipment that becomes waste is called old equipment. Owners of old equipment must ensure it is collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old equipment does not belong in household waste but in special collection and return systems.
Batteries and Accumulators: Owners of old equipment must generally separate old batteries and accumulators from the old equipment before handing them over to a collection point, unless they are enclosed within the old equipment. This does not apply if the old equipment is handed over to public waste disposal authorities and separated there from other old equipment for preparation for reuse.
Data Protection: Old equipment often contains sensitive personal data, especially information and telecommunication devices like computers and smartphones. For your own interest, please ensure that every end-user is responsible for deleting data on the old equipment to be disposed of.
