Battery Safety
DANGER! Batteries
- Insert batteries with correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Never throw batteries into fire.
- Do not mix battery types (old/new, alkaline/carbon).
- Remove batteries if the device is not used for an extended period.
- Improper use can cause explosions and danger to life.
- Do not open or deform batteries; leaking chemicals can cause injury.
- If batteries leak, remove them immediately with a dry, absorbent cloth, wearing protective gloves. Avoid skin contact.
- If battery fluid contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
- If a battery is swallowed, seek medical help immediately.
- Dispose of empty batteries properly.
- Do not short-circuit battery contacts.

- Never immerse the mill in water or other liquids. If liquid penetrates, remove batteries immediately and contact customer service.
- Do not expose the mill to direct heat sources, direct sunlight, or strong artificial light.

- The mill must not contact hot surfaces.
- Fill the mill only with peppercorns or coarse salt.
- Keep the mill clean.

Getting Started
Before You Start
Unpack the mill and accessories. Check for completeness. Keep packaging material away from children and dispose of it properly.
Inserting Batteries / Filling the Mill
- Hold the container (6) firmly. Turn the top section (1) anti-clockwise until the arrow aligns with the symbol on the container (6).
- Remove the top section (1) from the container (6).
- Remove the motor (3) from the container (6).
- Insert batteries with correct polarity (+ and -). Polarity is marked on batteries and in the compartment.
- Fill the container (6) with peppercorns or coarse salt. Do not fill above the padlock symbols.
- Place the motor (3) onto the container (6), aligning contacts (4) with contacts (5).
- Place the top section (1) onto the container (6).
- Hold the container (6) firmly. Turn the top section (1) clockwise until the arrow aligns with the symbol on the container (6).
Using the Mill
- Remove the protective cap (7) from the bottom of the container (6).
- Press and hold the button (2) to turn on the mill. The light (8) will illuminate.
- Replace the protective cap (7) after use.
Changing the Grind Setting
- Remove the protective cap (7) from the bottom of the container (6).
- Turn the adjusting screw (9) slightly anti-clockwise for a coarser grind.
- Turn the adjusting screw (9) slightly clockwise for a finer grind.
- Replace the protective cap (7) onto the bottom of the container (6).
Note: Hard peppercorns or salt grains can sometimes block the grinding mechanism. If this occurs, turn the mill upside down and press the button (2) to release the blockage. Gently shake if necessary.
Cleaning
WARNING about property damage
- Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaners or tools that could scratch the surface (e.g., metal sponges).
- Do not clean the mill or accessories in a dishwasher; this can cause irreparable damage.
- Never immerse the mill in water or other liquids.
- Clean the mill housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Use mild dish soap for stubborn dirt.
- Dry all parts thoroughly.
- The grinder and container (6) do not require cleaning.
Storage When Not in Use
If the mill is not used for an extended period, store it in a safe, clean, and dry place.
- Remove batteries.
- Empty the container (6).
- Clean the device as described previously before storing.
Troubleshooting
If the mill does not function normally, try the following solutions. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
The mill does not work.
- Batteries are empty: Replace with new batteries of the same type. Refer to "Inserting Batteries/Filling the Mill" section.
- Batteries are inserted incorrectly: Refer to "Inserting Batteries/Filling the Mill" section.
Environmental Regulations and Disposal Information
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol means this device must not be disposed of with household waste. It must be handed in at designated collection points. This directive (2012/19/EU) aims to protect the environment and health.
Battery Disposal:
- Batteries marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol must be disposed of separately from household waste.
- Batteries may contain toxic materials (Pb, Cd, Hg). Return used batteries as required by law.
- Batteries contain valuable raw materials that can be reused.
- Return used batteries to us or to a local collection point free of charge. Ensure batteries are fully discharged before disposal. Take precautions against short circuits for partially discharged batteries.
Packaging Disposal:
Dispose of packaging materials in an environmentally friendly manner. Cardboard can be recycled. Plastic film and other plastics should be taken to public collection points.

Warranty of TARGA GmbH
This device comes with a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. Keep the original receipt as proof of purchase. Contact the hotline for any issues not resolved by the manual. Have the article number and serial number ready for inquiries. If a phone solution is not possible, further servicing will be arranged. The product will be repaired or replaced free of charge at the manufacturer's discretion for material or manufacturing defects. Repair or replacement does not start a new warranty period. Consumables like batteries and bulbs are excluded from the warranty.
Your statutory rights towards the seller are not affected.
