Performance Settings
Performance Tab
The 'Performance' nested tab allows you to adjust the sensitivity, acceleration, and polling rate of your Razer mouse.
Screenshot Description: A screenshot of the Performance tab in Razer Synapse, showing sliders for DPI, polling rate, and other performance-related settings.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity refers to the distance the cursor moves relative to how far the mouse is moved. The higher the DPI value, the further the cursor will travel for the same mouse movement distance.
Sensitivity Levels
A sensitivity level is a predefined sensitivity value. You can create up to 5 different sensitivity levels, which can be cycled through using the DPI switching button or the sensitivity increase/decrease buttons on your Razer mouse. Hovering your cursor over any sensitivity level allows you to switch to it or activate the 'Enable X/Y' function for each level.
Polling Rate
To switch between any polling rate options, select the desired polling rate. The higher the polling rate, the more frequently the computer receives information about your mouse's status, thereby reducing input lag and pointer response time.
Sensitivity Matching
Adjust mouse parameters so it feels like another. To use this function, a second mouse needs to be connected.
Mouse Properties
Access the Windows mouse properties window, where you can change operating system settings that directly affect your Razer mouse's operation.
Lighting Tab
The 'Lighting' nested tab allows you to change the lighting settings of your Razer device.
Screenshot Description: A screenshot of the Lighting tab in Razer Synapse, showing options for brightness, effects, and power saving.

7. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Rules
For maximum safety when using the Razer Cobra Hyperspeed, it is recommended to follow the rules below.
If you encounter issues with the device that cannot be resolved by the recommended actions, disconnect the device and call the Razer hotline or visit support.razer.com for technical support.
Do not disassemble the device (this will void the warranty). Do not use the device under non-standard current loads.
Avoid contact with liquids, moisture, or humidity. Use the device only within the specified temperature range: 0°C to 40°C. If the temperature exceeds the range, turn off the device and/or disconnect it and wait for the temperature to stabilize within the acceptable range.
Avoid direct eye exposure to the mouse's optical beam. Remember that the tracking beam is always on and is not visible to the naked eye.
Ergonomics
Research indicates that prolonged repetitive motions, inconvenient placement of computer peripherals, incorrect posture, and poor habits can cause discomfort, fatigue, and strain in tendons and muscles. The following recommendations are provided to prevent health issues and maintain comfortable conditions when using the Razer Cobra Hyperspeed device:
- Position your keyboard and monitor directly in front of you, with the mouse placed nearby.
- Keep your elbows at your sides, not extended too far out. Your keyboard should be positioned at a distance that does not require reaching.
- Adjust your chair and desk height so that your keyboard and mouse are at or slightly below elbow level.
- Rest your feet on a support, sit upright, and relax your shoulders.
- During gameplay, relax your wrist and keep it straight. For repetitive gaming actions, avoid holding your hand in a bent, extended, or twisted position for too long.
Ergonomics (Continued)
- Do not rest your wrist on a hard surface for extended periods. Use a wrist rest for wrist support during gameplay.
- Adjust keyboard keys to your play style to minimize repetitive or awkward movements during gameplay.
- Avoid staying in one position all day. Periodically stand up, walk away from your desk, and do exercises for your hands, shoulders, neck, and legs to relieve tension.
If you experience discomfort such as pain, numbness, or tingling in your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, or back during use, seek medical advice immediately.
Maintenance and Use
Maintaining the Razer Cobra Hyperspeed mouse in working condition requires minimal technical service. It is recommended to disconnect the device from your computer once a month and wipe it with a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dust and dirt buildup. Do not use soap or aggressive cleaning agents.
To utilize all movement and control capabilities, using a premium Razer mouse mat is highly recommended. Some surfaces may cause excessive wear on the mouse's base and shorten its lifespan.
It should be noted that the Razer Cobra Hyperspeed sensor is 'tuned' (optimally configured) for use with Razer mouse mats. This means that thorough sensor testing has confirmed that the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K sensor performs best when used on Razer mouse mats.
