Assembly Steps
Step 1: Assemble the Base
Place the five base legs on a protective surface (e.g., a rug or mat) to avoid scratching. Attach the connecting bars to the base legs using the provided screws and Allen key.

Step 2: Attach the Gas Lift Cylinder
Insert the gas lift cylinder into the center of the assembled five-star base. Secure it using 10 screws (part 149697) and 10 washers (part 100842) with the Allen key (part 108490).

Step 3: Install the Castor Wheels
Insert the 5 castor wheels (parts 10049025 and 10049027) into the openings at the end of each base leg.

Step 4: Attach the Seat Mechanism
Place the seat mechanism (the part with the height adjustment lever) onto the top of the gas lift cylinder. Ensure it is firmly seated.

Step 5: Connect Base to Seat
Carefully lower the assembled chair base (with wheels) onto the gas lift cylinder that is now attached to the seat mechanism.

Step 6: Secure the Seat
Attach the seat to the base mechanism using the remaining 4 screws (part 149696) and the Allen key (part 108490).

Step 7: Final Assembly and Height Adjustment
Your ÖRFJÄLL swivel chair is now fully assembled. To adjust the seat height:
- Pull the height adjustment lever located under the seat upwards.
- While seated, lift the lever to raise the seat and push down with your body weight.
- While seated, lift the lever and shift your weight upwards to lower the seat.

Safety Feature: Self-Braking Castors
The safety castors on this chair are designed to automatically brake when no one is sitting in the chair. This feature prevents the chair from rolling away unexpectedly when you stand up, ensuring it remains stable and in the position you left it.
