Legrand DALI Light Up Multi-Sensor Detector

The Legrand DALI Light Up is an advanced multi-sensor detector designed for lighting control and building management applications. It integrates various sensors to measure presence, light levels, temperature, humidity, acoustics, and air quality (VOCs).

1. Usage

The DALI Light Up detector is a people-counting sensor for lighting control and building management. It features:

The device can be updated via the "CLOSE UP" app available for iOS and Android.

2. Technical Characteristics

2.1 Thermal Image Sensor

2.2 Daylight Sensor

Measures natural and artificial light to control illumination based on the desired daylight setpoint. Range: 5-1275 lux. The "0" value can be used to memorize ambient light levels as a daylight setpoint.

2.3 Humidity Sensor

2.4 Temperature Sensor

2.5 Acoustic Sensor

2.6 VOC Sensor

2.7 Bluetooth 5.0

Used to set up the device with a smartphone. Range: 10 m.

8. Wiring

Diagrams showing wiring for different load types (dimmable and non-dimmable).

Note: The relay is dedicated to powering the ECG to reduce energy consumption. ECG shutdown is delayed by 5 minutes.

The detector is configured for dimmable DALI ECGs but can be paired with DALI (ON/OFF) actuators. Use the "Legrand CLOSE UP" app to change the load type to "Non-Dimmable".

Master/Slave Configuration:

By default, the device is configured as Master. For Slave configuration, refer to the LIGHT UP Technical Guide. A Master can be paired with up to 5 Slave detectors.

Important:

9. Detection Zone

Diagrams illustrating the detection zone coverage and possibilities for monitoring up to 6 zones of interest and/or exclusion.

10. Installation

Maximum installation height is 4 m. Ensure the device's field of view is not obstructed by objects that could hide people. Avoid direct airflow on the device.

Diagrams showing correct and incorrect installation scenarios.

11. First Commissioning

The device is ready for use after 5 minutes of operation and self-calibrates within 20 minutes. Immediate calibration can be initiated via the CLOSE UP app, ensuring no one is in the detection area.

14.3 Counter Modules - Creating Zones by Movement

Instructions and screenshots for creating interest or exclusion zones using movement detection. Emphasizes ensuring no one is present in the monitored area during zone creation and correct screen orientation relative to the sensor.

14.4 Counter Modules - Manual Zone Creation via Coordinates

Instructions and screenshots for manually creating zones by entering coordinates. Allows for defining zone type (interest or exclusion) and adjusting coordinates for points A and B.

14.5 Advanced Sensor Settings

Screenshots showing how to access advanced sensor options, including room configuration, sensor calibration, zone creation tutorial, module information, and debug mode.

14.6 Calibration

The device is ready for use after 5 minutes and self-calibrates within 20 minutes. Immediate calibration can be initiated via the CLOSE UP app by exiting the room and tapping "Start Calibration".

Important: Exit the room before calibration.

Note: During calibration, hot spots from electrical equipment are treated as background and not counted as people. Full effectiveness after initial use is achieved within 24 hours.
