2002-03 Saturn Vue SUV Installation Guide
This guide provides instructions for installing aftermarket stereos and speakers in a 2002-03 Saturn Vue SUV.

Note: The factory radio provision is for a DIN style radio. An installation kit is required when installing an aftermarket stereo. Scosche recommends the SN1527.
Front Speakers
Side Mirror Cover: 1.25"
Door Speaker: 6" 3-Hole speaker in factory adapter
When installing an aftermarket 5 ¼" or 6 ½" speaker, a speaker adapter is required. Scosche recommends the SAC656 or SAU56 speaker adapter.
Rear Speakers
Rear Door Speaker: 6" 3-hole speaker in factory adapter
When installing an aftermarket 5 ¼” or 6 ½” speaker, a speaker adapter is required. Scosche recommends the Sac656 or SAU56 speaker adapter.
Wire Color Codes
- +12V Constant: Orange
- +12V Accessory Switched: Grey
- -12V Chassis Ground: Black
- +12V Illumination: Tan
- +12V Dimmer: Tan
- LF+: Tan

Preliminary Steps
Preliminary: Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Antenna: The factory antenna is located atop the rear fender.
Radio Removal and In-Dash Disassembly
- Remove shifter bezel using fingers or panel removal tool and pull over shifter and out of the way.
- Remove (4) 9/32 screws securing pocket and pull pocket out.
- Remove radio/climate control bezel using fingers and carefully disconnect and remove.
- Extract (2) 9/32 screws securing radio, disconnect and remove.
Front Door Speaker Disassembly
Note: The factory speaker provision is for a 6" 3-Hole Custom Mounting, mounted to a factory speaker adapter.
- Remove power mirror cover and extract (1) Philips head screw from behind.
- Extract (1) Philips head screw from front lower portion of door panel.
- Extract (1) Philips head screw from door opener cup, disconnect and remove.
- Using panel popper, push in tab on bottom of door handle to remove top front “cover” and extract (2) Philips head screws from behind.
- Extract (3) 9/32 screws securing speakers.
Rear Door Speaker Disassembly
Note: The factory speaker provision is for a 6" Custom Mounting, mounted in a factory speaker adapter.
- Extract (1) Philips head screw from front lower portion of door panel.
- Extract (1) Philips head screw from door opener cup, disconnect and remove.
- Using panel popper, push in tab on bottom of door handle to remove top front “cover” and extract (2) Philips head screws from behind.
- Pull door panel up and away to remove.
