Midland BTT Button Pro Quick Start Guide
This guide provides instructions for the Midland BTT Button Pro, a handlebar communication system designed to work with the BTTalk app.
Product Overview
The BTT Button Pro is a handlebar-mounted system for communications, utilizing the BTTalk app. It operates on the 2.402 – 2.480 GHz frequency with an output power of less than 10mW.

Battery Information:
The device uses a 3V Lithium CR2032 battery. The diagram shows a simple battery replacement process in two steps.

Installation
Step 1: Connecting the PTT
Insert the connector, ensuring it is fully seated.
Step 2: Mounting the Device
Attach the octagonal unit to your preferred location using the adhesive velcro. Secure the wired PTT to the handlebar using the provided zip ties, as illustrated.
LED Status Indicators
| LED | Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Red LED flashing | On and not connected to the app | Device is powered on but not yet paired with the BTTalk app. |
| Blue LED flashing | On and connected to the app | Device is powered on and successfully paired with the BTTalk app. |
| Alternating Red/Blue LEDs flashing | Pairing mode | The device is ready to be paired with a new device. |
| Red LED flashing intermittently with connection LED | Low battery | The battery level is low and requires replacement. |
| Red LED solid for 1 second | Reset | Indicates that a reset operation has been completed. |
Pairing with the BTTalk App
- Open the Midland App.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Bluetooth Management.
- Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to complete the pairing process.
Note: Before proceeding with any new pairing, it is recommended to perform a reset of the BTT Button Pro as described in the dedicated reset section.
Using the BTT Button Pro
To Transmit:
Press the PTT button once (1 Click). The LED will turn red, indicating transmission.
To Connect/Pair:
Press the PTT button once (1 Click). The LED will flash blue when connected to the app.
Resetting the Device
To reset the BTT Button Pro:
- Press the PTT button once (1 Click).
- Press and hold the PTT button for 10 seconds (10" Press together).
The LED will turn solid red for 1 second to confirm the reset.
