Installation Procedure
Step 1: Preparations
Ensure the microSD card is inserted correctly. A click sound indicates proper insertion. Format the microSD memory card using the camera's operating instructions.
Mounting Preparation:
- Attach the adapter box to the camera.
- Secure the camera using the YAW, TILT, and PAN lock screws.
Step 2: Mounting the Camera
Refer to the diagrams for specific mounting configurations on ceilings or walls. Ensure proper alignment and secure all screws.
Step 3: Cable Connections
Ethernet Connection:
- Use Category 5e or better, straight, 4-pair (8-pin) Ethernet cable.
- Maximum cable length: 100 m (328 feet).
- Connect the RJ45 connector to the camera.
I/O Cable Connections (Optional Accessory WV-QCA501A):
- Connect Audio In (White), Audio Out (Black), and EXT I/O terminals.
- Ensure the GND line is properly connected.
- Minimum pull-out strength for cables: 724 N (163 lbf) per piece.
Power Connection:
- The camera supports 12 V DC or PoE (Power over Ethernet).
Step 4: Securing Cables and Housing
Step 4-1:
- Use the grommet cover (accessory) to protect cable entry points.
- Apply waterproof tape (WV-QCA501A accessory) by stretching it to approximately twice its length for a secure seal.
Step 4-2:
- Mount the adapter box using the provided mounting pins (accessory).
- Ensure all cables are neatly routed and secured within the housing.
Step 5: Connecting I/O and Network Cables
Connect the I/O cable and LAN cable to their respective ports within the adapter box.
Step 6: Closing the Housing
Securely close the adapter box, ensuring the grommet covers are properly fitted.
Step 7: Attaching the Camera Body
Mount the camera body onto the adapter box. Ensure the WIDE+AF and TELE+AF buttons are accessible.
Step 8: Power On
Turn on the power supply (12 V DC or PoE).
Step 9: Adjustments and Lock
Adjust the camera's YAW, TILT, and PAN angles as needed. Tighten the corresponding lock screws with the specified torque:
- PAN lock screw: 2.7 N-m (1.99 lbf·ft)
- TILT lock screw: 4.3 N-m (3.17 lbf·ft)
- YAW lock screw: 2.7 N-m (1.99 lbf·ft)
Image Rotation: If image rotation is required, refer to the technical information website for instructions on rotating the sunshade.
Step 10: Network Configuration
Connect a laptop to the network and use the IP Setting Software (Control No.: C0123) or i-PRO Configuration Tool (ICT) (Control No.: C0133) to configure the camera's network settings.
