Proper disposal of your old refrigerator is important. Child entrapment or suffocation are risks. Abandoned refrigerators are dangerous.

Before you throw away your old refrigerator or freezer:

WARNING: Suffocation Hazard

FAQs

Q.1 Is moisture in the Vegetable Drawer normal?

Ans. Yes. As water evaporates from vegetables, it condenses on the cold refrigerator surface, forming droplets. The humid air is swept away by airflow, keeping vegetables fresh.

Q.2 Why do I hear a noise from the back of the refrigerator?

Ans. Intellifresh Pro Range has silent operations under standard conditions. Check the troubleshooting section for any noise issues.

Q.3 Why is there smell emanating from my refrigerator?

Ans. Check if any item with a strong smell is unwrapped. Wrap it or keep it in a closed container. Keeping cut lemon can also help reduce odour.

Q.4 Why are the sidewalls hot sometimes?

Ans. Sidewalls are warm due to a hot gas tube at the cabinet edges, which helps prevent moisture formation on walls when humidity is high.

Q.5 Why is there a noise when the compressor starts?

Ans. It is normal to hear noise when the compressor starts and stops.

Q.6 How frequently should I clean my refrigerator? Can I use detergents?

Ans. It is advisable to clean your refrigerator twice a month with warm water and mild detergents.

Q.7 What is the use of a Variable Temperature Zone (VTZ)?

Ans. VTZ is a special compartment for fruits, vegetables, and dairy. Move the slider for temperature adjustment (left for fruits/vegetables, right for dairy). Avoid storing bottles for long durations as they could freeze and burst.

Q.8 Why do vegetables get spoilt when kept on the top shelf?

Ans. The top shelf is not suitable for vegetables. Store them in the Vegetable Drawer or VTZ for the desired temperature.

Q.9 Does milk get spoilt when kept in the vegetable drawer?

Ans. Milk needs colder temperatures. The vegetable drawer is warmer, so milk may spoil. Store milk in the Variable Temperature Zone (VTZ).

Q.10 For models without the door open alarm switch, how to switch off the buzzer?

Ans. The Door Open Alarm buzzer alerts when the door is open for over a minute. If the door is intentionally kept open, the buzzer may be temporarily switched off by pressing the Door Open Alarm switch.

Q.11 Do I need to clean the back tray of my refrigerator?

Ans. As the product is frost-free, the tray usually doesn't need cleaning. However, in extreme moisture conditions, you may rarely need to empty the tray.
