Setup Guide

This section identifies the components of the Logitech Z407 speaker system.
The system includes:
- Subwoofer
- Left satellite speaker
- Right satellite speaker
- Satellite stands (for vertical or horizontal placement)
- RCA cables (to connect satellites to subwoofer)
- Power cord
- Wireless control dial
- 3.5mm auxiliary cable
- AAA batteries (2 included)
The wireless control dial features a "Wired input button (USB/3.5mm)" and a "Bluetooth® button".

CONNECT THE SPEAKERS
Satellite Placement: Place the satellite stands to each satellite separately. The speakers can be positioned vertically or horizontally. Ensure the stands fit tightly into the speakers.
Audio Connections:
- Plug the right satellite cable into the blue subwoofer jack.
- Plug the left satellite cable into the gray subwoofer jack.
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. You will hear a welcome tone.
Battery Installation:
- Long press and push downwards on the back lid of the subwoofer to open it.
- Place two AAA batteries into the designated space.
- Important: Do not mix alkaline batteries with rechargeable batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not leave batteries unused in the product for extended periods.
The LED indicator on the wireless control dial will start blinking blue. Once the dial is successfully connected to the speaker, the LED will turn into a steady blue light.
CONNECT TO AUDIO SOURCE
The LED on the control dial changes color to indicate the connection type:
- Blue: Connected via Bluetooth®
- Purple: Connected via 3.5 mm
- White: Connected via USB
CONNECT VIA BLUETOOTH®
Ensure Bluetooth® is activated on your source device.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth® button on the bottom of the dial for 2 seconds to activate pairing mode.
- The LED indicator will blink quickly, and you will hear a pairing tone.
- On your Bluetooth® device list, select and connect to "Logi Z407". You will hear a connected tone, and the LED will turn steady blue.
CONNECT VIA 3.5MM CABLE
- Connect one end of the provided 3.5 mm cable to the auxiliary input on the back of the subwoofer.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the 3.5 mm audio jack on your device.
The default connectivity is Bluetooth®. To play through 3.5 mm, press the wired input button on the back of the dial. The LED light will turn purple.
CONNECT VIA USB CABLE
- Connect one end of the USB cable to the micro USB input on the back of the subwoofer.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB-A input on your device.
NOTE: A USB cable is not included in the box and must be purchased separately.
The default connectivity is Bluetooth®. To play through USB, press the wired input button on the back of the dial. The LED light will turn white.
CONNECT TO THREE DEVICES SIMULTANEOUSLY
Connect up to three devices at the same time using the micro USB input, 3.5 mm input on the subwoofer, and Bluetooth®. You can pair up to eight Bluetooth® source devices with your speakers.
SWITCH BETWEEN DIFFERENT AUDIO SOURCES
To switch between wired and wireless audio sources, press the Bluetooth® button and the wired input button on the back of the wireless control dial.
- SWITCH BETWEEN TWO WIRED CONNECTIVITY: To switch between wired connections (3.5 mm and USB), press the wired input button on the bottom of the dial. The LED color will change accordingly.
- SWITCH BETWEEN WIRED AND WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY: To switch from a wired connection to wireless connection (Bluetooth®), press the Bluetooth® button on the bottom of the dial.
- To switch from wireless connection to wired connection, press the wired input button on the bottom of the dial.
CONTROL YOUR AUDIO CONTENT
ADJUST THE VOLUME
- To adjust the volume, rotate the wireless dial control clockwise [increase volume] or counterclockwise [decrease volume].
- You will hear a notification tone when reaching maximum volume.
ADJUST THE BASS
- To adjust the bass level, long press the dial for 2 seconds to enter bass mode. You will hear a notification sound.
- Rotate the dial clockwise [increase bass] or counterclockwise [decrease bass].
- Long press the dial for 2 seconds to exit bass mode. You will hear an exit notification sound.
- If bass mode is not exited manually, the system will automatically revert to volume mode after 15 seconds of inactivity.
- You will hear a notification sound when you reach the maximum and minimum bass levels.
PLAY / PAUSE (MUTE/ UNMUTE)
- Press the dial once to play/pause (mute/unmute) your audio content.
- This function is activated when the speaker is connected via Bluetooth® or USB input (3.5 mm).
SKIP
- Press the dial twice to skip your current track.
- Skip is activated when the speaker is connected via Bluetooth® or USB input.
REWIND
- Triple press the dial to replay the soundtrack.
- Rewind is activated when the speaker is connected via Bluetooth® or USB input.
RESET ALL SETTINGS
Long press the Bluetooth® button and the wired input button simultaneously for 8 seconds to reset the system. The LED will start to fast blink twice, and then you will hear a reset tone. The LED will turn solid blue after the system is successfully reset.
