Logitech Z407 Bluetooth Computer Speakers with Subwoofer
Setup Guide
Know Your Product
Identify the components of your Logitech Z407 speaker system:
- Left satellite speaker
- Right satellite speaker
- Subwoofer unit
- Wireless control dial (features volume knob, bass adjustment, and input buttons)
- Power cord
- RCA cable (connects satellites to subwoofer)
- 3.5mm auxiliary cable (3-pole)
- Two AAA batteries ? for the control dial
- Satellite stands

Connect the Speakers
Satellite Placement:
Place the satellite stands to each satellite speaker separately. You can position the speakers vertically or horizontally. Ensure the stands fit tightly into the speakers.
Speaker Connections:
- Connect the right satellite cable to the blue jack on the subwoofer.
- Connect the left satellite cable to the gray jack on the subwoofer.
Power Connection:
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. You will hear a welcome notification sound.
Wireless Control Dial Setup:
- Long press and push downwards on the back lid of the control dial to open it.
- Place two AAA batteries ? into the corresponding spaces. ⚠️ Do not mix alkaline and rechargeable batteries, or new and old batteries. Do not leave batteries unused in the product for extended periods.
- The LED indicator on the dial will start blinking blue. Once successfully connected to the speaker system, the LED will turn into a steady blue light.
Connect to Audio Source
The LED indicator on the control dial changes color to show the active connection type:
- ? Blue: Connected via Bluetooth.
- ? Purple: Connected via 3.5 mm auxiliary cable ?.
- ⚪ White: Connected via USB cable ?.
Connect via Bluetooth®
- Ensure Bluetooth® ? is activated on your source device (computer, smartphone, tablet).
- Press and hold (2 seconds) the Bluetooth® button on the bottom of the control dial to activate pairing mode. The LED indicator will blink quickly, and you will hear a pairing sound notification.
- On your Bluetooth® device list, select and connect to "Logi Z407".
- You will hear a connected tone, and the LED will turn into a steady blue light.
Connect via 3.5mm Cable
- Connect one end of the provided 3.5 mm cable ? to the auxiliary input on the back of the subwoofer.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the 3.5 mm audio jack on your device.
The default connectivity is Bluetooth®. To switch to 3.5 mm connectivity, press the wired input button on the back of the control dial. The LED light will turn purple.
Connect via USB Cable
- Connect one end of the USB cable ? to the micro USB input on the back of the subwoofer.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the USB-A input on your device.
Note: A USB cable is not included in the box and must be purchased separately.
The default connectivity is Bluetooth®. To switch to USB connectivity, press the wired input button on the back of the control dial. The LED light will turn white.
Connect to Three Devices Simultaneously
You can connect up to three devices at the same time: one via micro USB ?, one via the 3.5 mm input ?, and one via Bluetooth® ?. The speakers can pair with up to eight Bluetooth® source devices.
Switch Between Different Audio Sources
To switch between wired and wireless audio sources, use the Bluetooth® button and the wired input button on the back of the wireless control dial.
Switch Between Two Wired Connectivity (3.5mm and USB)
Press the wired input button on the bottom of the dial. The LED color will change accordingly.
Switch Between Wired and Wireless Connectivity (Bluetooth®)
- To switch from wired to wireless (Bluetooth®), press the Bluetooth® button on the bottom of the dial.
- To switch from wireless to wired, press the wired input button on the bottom of the dial.
Control Your Audio Content
Adjust the Volume
- Rotate the wireless control dial clockwise to increase volume ⬆️, and counterclockwise to decrease it ⬇️.
- You will hear a notification tone when the maximum volume is reached.
Adjust the Bass
- Long press ⏳ the dial for 2 seconds to enter bass mode. You will hear a notification sound.
- Rotate the dial clockwise to increase bass volume ⬆️, and counterclockwise to decrease it ⬇️.
- Long press ⏳ the dial for 2 seconds again to exit bass mode. You will hear an exit notification sound.
- If bass mode is not exited manually, the system will automatically return to volume mode after 15 seconds of inactivity.
- You will hear a notification sound when you reach the maximum and minimum bass levels.
Play/Pause (Mute/Unmute)
- Press the dial once ? to play ▶️/pause ⏸️ (mute ?/unmute ?) your audio content.
- This function is activated when the speakers are connected via Bluetooth® ? or USB input ? (not 3.5 mm ?).
Skip Track
- Press the dial twice ?? to skip ⏭️ to the next track.
- This function is activated when the speakers are connected via Bluetooth® ? or USB input ?.
Rewind Track
- Triple press ??? the dial to replay ⏪ the current track (go back to the beginning).
- This function is activated when the speakers are connected via Bluetooth® ? or USB input ?.
Reset All Settings
- Long press ⏳ the Bluetooth® button and the wired input button simultaneously for 8 seconds to reset ? the system.
- The LED will blink rapidly twice, and you will hear a reset tone. The LED will then turn solid blue after a successful reset.
