Hardware Installation
This section details the physical installation of storage drives into the NAS chassis.
Optional Accessories
For rack mounting, the following optional accessories are available:
- RAIL-B02: Suitable for mounting posts with a depth of 18" to 32" (443 to 815 mm).
- RAIL-S01 (Short-Depth): Suitable for mounting posts with a depth of 5" to 16.3" (126 to 415 mm).
Drive Mounting
The process involves mounting either a 3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or a 2.5-inch Solid State Drive (SSD) into a dedicated tray, which is then inserted into the NAS unit.
3.5-inch HDD Installation
- Place the 3.5-inch HDD into the drive tray.
- Secure the HDD to the tray using the provided screws ?.
- Slide the tray containing the HDD into the NAS chassis until it locks into place ➡️.
2.5-inch SSD Installation
- Place the 2.5-inch SSD into the drive tray.
- Secure the SSD to the tray using the provided screws ?.
- Slide the tray containing the SSD into the NAS chassis until it locks into place ➡️.
Instruction: Tighten screws securely to prevent the drive tray from becoming stuck in the chassis.
Connection and Power On
Connect the NAS to your network ? and power source, then initiate the power-on sequence.
- Connect a network cable (e.g., Ethernet) from the NAS to your network switch or router.
- Connect the power adapter to the NAS and plug it into a power outlet.
- Press the power button ▶️ to turn on the NAS.
