Product Overview

This document provides installation instructions for the Urmet Mikra 4+n one-family audio kit, suitable for single-family homes. The kit includes an outdoor push-button panel and an indoor audio handset.

The product is designed to accommodate the following accessories, which must be purchased separately:

• Ref. 1150/1: Audio door phone with 1 additional button.
• Ref. 1150/55: Additional buttons.
• Ref. 1150/50: Table mounting stand for the indoor unit.
• Ref. 1150/51: Frame for the door phone (flush-mount trim surround for 1150).
• Ref. 9854/56: 12Vac universal buzzer for door phone systems.
• Ref. 1132/53: Kit for adjustable call sound.

Installation Steps

1. Step 1: Disassembly of the Outdoor Unit (Page 2, Diagram 1)

   Using the screwdriver (D), loosen the screw (E) located at the bottom of the outdoor unit. This allows the front cover to be removed from the backplate.

2. Step 2: Preparing the Backplate (Page 2, Diagram 2)

   Once the front cover is removed, the backplate of the outdoor unit is exposed and ready for mounting.

3. Step 3: Mounting the Outdoor Unit Backplate (Page 2, Diagram 3)

   Position the backplate (A) on the wall. Mark the drilling points. Drill holes and insert wall plugs (B). Secure the backplate to the wall using screws (A). The recommended installation height for the center of the unit is between 1.55 m and 1.60 m from the ground.

4. Step 4: Wiring the Outdoor Unit (Page 3, Diagram 4)

   Connect the necessary wiring to the terminals on the backplate of the outdoor unit. Ensure all connections are secure and follow the wiring diagram provided in this manual.

5. Step 5: Reattaching the Outdoor Unit Front Cover (Page 3, Diagram 5)

   After wiring, carefully reattach the front cover to the mounted backplate. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

6. Step 6: Inserting Name Tags (Page 3, Diagram 6)

   Open the name tag compartment (C1) on the outdoor unit. Write names (e.g., "ROSSI", "BIANCHI") on the provided inserts (C2) for User 1 and User 2. Insert the name tags into their respective slots. This unit supports up to two users (Utente 1 / User 1, Utente 2 / User 2).

7. Step 7: Jumper Configuration for Outdoor Unit (Page 4, Diagram 7)

   Configure the jumpers JP1 and JP2 on the outdoor unit based on the installation type:

   • JP2 (Default): Set for Single-family (Monofamiliare / Individuels / Unifamiliar / Einfamilienanlage).
   • JP2 (Alternative): Set for Two-family (Bifamiliare / Duplex / Bifamiliar / Zweifamilienanlage).
   • JP1 (Default): Shows connections for U2 GT2 and U1 G/T.

8. Step 8: Final Securing of Outdoor Unit (Page 5, Diagram 8)

   Ensure the outdoor unit's front cover is fully engaged with the backplate, securing it firmly in place.

9. Step 9: Tightening the Outdoor Unit Screw (Page 5, Diagram 9)

   Using the screwdriver (D), tighten the screw (E) at the bottom of the outdoor unit to secure the front cover to the backplate, preventing unauthorized removal.

10. Step 10: Preparing the Indoor Handset (Page 5, Diagram 10)

    The indoor audio handset is shown, ready for connection and mounting. It typically involves connecting the coiled cord to the handset base.

11. Step 11: Mounting the Indoor Handset (Page 5, Diagram 11)

    Mount the indoor handset to the wall. This usually involves securing a wall bracket (not explicitly shown but implied by the diagram) and then attaching the handset to it.

12. Step 12: Internal View of Outdoor Unit (Page 6, Diagram 12)

    This diagram provides an internal view of the outdoor unit, showing various connection points (G) and wiring paths (F) for accessories and main connections. It illustrates how the unit is wired internally and how accessories would connect.

Key Connections:

• Outdoor Unit (Entrance Panel / Torstelle): Connects to the main system.
• Indoor Handset (Door Phone / Hausstation):
  • Main Handset (Mod. Atlantico)
  • Additional Handset (Sch./Ref. 1150/1)
• Transformer (Trasformatore): Provides power to the system (0~, ~12).
• Electric Lock (Serratura elettrica): Connects to the door opener circuit. The lock operates at 12 V~ / 15 VA.

Wiring Notes:

• The ground wire of the door phones (6) must connect to the outdoor unit (-/~).
• The door opener circuit wires (6) must close on the door unit (-/~).
