Cleaning Instructions
Follow these steps to clean your Victor Electronic Mouse Trap:
- Separate Units: Turn off the power switch to "0" and remove the batteries. Hold the device as shown. Slide the chamber forward.
- Clean Chamber: Use only warm water, a soft brush, and a topical hydrogen peroxide solution. Ensure NO water contacts the electronics.
- Dry Chamber: Allow the inner and outer chamber to air dry completely.
- Dry Hands: Ensure your hands are thoroughly dry.
- Reassemble: Insert the assembly keys into their corresponding openings. Slide the chamber backward.
- Final Steps: Follow the trap's general operating instruction steps 1-7.
Operating Instructions
Learn how to set up and operate your Victor Electronic Mouse Trap:
- Power Off and Remove Batteries: Turn the trap OFF ("0") and remove the batteries.
- Baiting: Open the chamber door. Place a pea-sized amount of peanut butter into the bait cup only. Bait touching the metal plates may cause malfunction.
- Placement: Position the trap on a dry, clean surface along a wall, ensuring the rodent entrance faces the wall.
- Power Up: Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment. Turn the power switch to the ON ("I") position. The green light will blink, and the unit will hum to indicate it is activated.
- Rodent Caught: A blinking GREEN light indicates a rodent has been caught (this status will persist for one week).
- Low Battery: A RED light indicates the batteries are low and need replacing.
- Disposal of Catch: Turn the trap OFF ("0") and remove the batteries. Open the chamber door and dispose of the rodent properly. Follow the trap's cleaning instructions.
