Pairing the Headset with the USB Bluetooth Adapter:
Note: The headset and USB Bluetooth adapter are pre-paired from the factory. If you purchased the USB Bluetooth adapter separately or wish to use a different headset with an existing adapter, you must pair them.

Installing PerSonoCall Software
The Plantronics PerSonoCall software links your Bluetooth headset to your computer's compatible VoIP application. PerSonoCall allows you to remotely manage and answer/end calls from your VoIP application using the headset's call control button.
Additionally, PerSonoCall provides basic configuration and system status information. Refer to page 10 for details.
Visit www.plantronics.com/personocall to view the PerSonoCall compatibility list for the latest information on VoIP compatibility. If PerSonoCall does not currently support your VoIP application, refer to page 14.
- Insert the CD and click "Install PerSonoCall Software" on the PerSonoCall main screen.
- Your VoIP application may require you to select your audio device. Refer to your VoIP application's documentation for details.
Note: After installation, the USB Bluetooth adapter will become the default audio device in your Windows® operating system. You can manually set preferences via the "Sounds and Audio Devices" option in the Control Panel.
Note: After installation, it is recommended to set PerSonoCall to launch when Windows® starts. Refer to page 10 for details.
System Tray Icons
After installing the software, one of four system tray icons will appear in the notification area at the bottom of your screen, indicating the communication status between the headset and PerSonoCall:
- Icon 1: Headset not detected.
- Icon 2: Headset detected, but radio link to USB Bluetooth adapter is not active.
- Icon 3: Headset detected, and radio link to USB Bluetooth adapter is active.
- Icon 4: Headset detected, and radio link to USB Bluetooth adapter is locked.

Changing Ear Gels:

Wearing the Headset:
Rotate the microphone boom horizontally or vertically to position it for either the left or right ear. The diagrams show the process of switching from right-ear to left-ear wear. Reverse the process to switch from left-ear to right-ear wear.
Slide the headset over the top of your ear and tuck it behind your ear. Gently press it into your ear for a secure fit. Adjust the microphone position so it is near your mouth.
Using the Headset
Adjusting Volume
To increase receive volume, press the upper (+) side of the volume button. To decrease receive volume, press the lower (-) side.
For adjusting transmit or receive volume for your VoIP application, refer to the application's user documentation. For adjusting volume on your computer, use the "Sounds and Audio Devices" section in the Control Panel.
Call Mute
During a call, quickly press the Power/Mute button to mute the microphone. The headset will emit two beeps every 30 seconds while muted. To unmute, press the button again.
Answering/Ending/Making Calls with VoIP via PerSonoCall
To make a call, press the Call Control button to pick up the VoIP line. You should hear a dial tone. To answer or end a call, press the Call Control button.
Note: The radio link between the headset and USB Bluetooth adapter is active only during calls by default to preserve battery life. To keep the radio link active at all times (e.g., for streaming audio), you can configure PerSonoCall settings:
- Basic Options screen: Select "Keep headset radio link on" (see page 10).
- System Tray: Right-click the system tray icon and select "Keep headset radio link on".
Note: Keeping the radio link on continuously will significantly reduce headset battery standby and talk time.
Using the Headset with Non-PerSonoCall Compatible VoIP Phones
Check www.plantronics.com/personocall for the latest compatibility information. If PerSonoCall does not support your VoIP application, you cannot remotely answer/end calls using the headset's call control button. Pressing the button will only activate the radio link for audio; you must answer calls using your VoIP phone.

To answer or end a call, quickly press the Call Control button.
To make a call, dial the number on your phone and press Send. The call will automatically transfer to the headset.

The headset must be paired with both devices, and the "Allow call control buttons to switch headset radio links" option must be enabled in PerSonoCall's Basic Options (see page 10).
