iRobot Roomba 960 Battery Replacement

Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing the battery in an iRobot Roomba 960.

Tools Required

Replacement Procedure

Step 1: Prepare the Roomba

Description: The iRobot Roomba 960 is positioned upside down. Its wheels are facing upwards, and the dustbin is located furthest from the user.

Turn the Roomba upside down and orient it so that the wheels are facing upwards and the dustbin is furthest from you. ?

Step 2: Remove Securing Screws

Description: A hand is using a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove two screws from the underside of the Roomba.

Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the two 11.4mm screws. ?

Step 3: Access the Battery Compartment

Description: A hand is lifting a plastic cover to reveal the battery compartment within the Roomba.

Lift the plastic cover to access the battery. ?

Step 4: Remove the Battery

Description: The battery removal process is shown in three stages. First, two black flaps on the sides of the battery are pulled. Second, the battery is gently pulled outwards. Third, the battery is fully removed from its housing.

Using the two black flaps located on the sides of the battery, pull it towards you. Carefully remove the battery. ?
