Product Features & Adjustments
The Staples® Brand chair is designed for custom comfort, accommodating various body types. It features several adjustments to fine-tune comfort:
Seat Height Adjustment
Function: Adjusts seat height to ensure correct posture and relieve stress on the back, thighs, and legs.
How to Use:
- To raise the seat: Lean slightly forward while seated to relieve pressure on the tilt mechanism. Reach under the right side of the chair and locate the handle. Lift yourself up slightly as the chair rises to your desired height.
- To lower the seat: Remain seated and lift the handle upwards until the chair lowers to your desired height.
Tilt Tension Adjustment
Function: Allows easy adjustment of chair flexibility, reducing effort and relaxing muscles.
How to Use: Grasp the round cylinder knob located under the front center of the seat. Turn clockwise for a softer/looser tilt, or counter-clockwise for a firmer/stiffer tilt.
Upright Seat Tilt Lock
Function: A simple locking mechanism that fixes the seat in an upright position to maintain healthy posture.
Arm Height Adjustment
Function: Arms adjust up and down, and can swivel, to ease pressure on the neck and support shoulders.
How to Use: Press the buttons located on the chair arms to allow them to move up or down freely. Release the buttons once the desired height is achieved.
Lumbar Support Adjustment
Function: Provides added cushioning in the chair back for maximum support to the lower back.
How to Use: Slide the lumbar support up or down to the desired location.
Headrest Angle Adjustment
Function: The headrest can rotate forward and back by 15 degrees, and its height is adjustable.
How to Use:
- For angle adjustment: Hold the headrest and rotate it forward or backward to the desired angle.
- For height adjustment: Hold the back of the chair and lift the headrest up to raise it, or push down to lower it.

Maintenance Note: Chair bolts, screws, and knobs may loosen during use. Please tighten your chair's hardware each month.
Setup Instructions:
Step 1: Base Assembly
Insert 5 Casters (1) into the Base (2). Insert the Gas Lift (3) into the Base (2).

Step 2: Seat Plate to Gas Lift
Place the Seat Plate (4) onto the Gas Lift (3).

Step 3: Attach Arms and Headrest
Attach the Arms (7) to the Seat (5) using 6 Yellow Screws (A) and the Allen Wrench (E). Attach the Headrest (8) to the Back (6) using 3 Green Screws (C) and the Allen Wrench (E).

Step 4: Attach Seat Plate to Seat
Attach the Seat Plate (4) to the Seat (5) using 4 Blue Screws (B) and the Allen Wrench (E).

Step 5: Attach Back to Seat Assembly
Attach the Back (6) to the Seat Plate assembly (4) using 3 Green Screws (C) and the Allen Wrench (E).

Step 6: Final Assembly and Adjustment
Place the assembled seat onto the base. Sit down on the chair to secure it. Refer to the easy adjustment instructions above to ensure custom comfort.

Warranty Information
Staples the Office Superstore, LLC ("Staples") warrants to the original purchaser of this Staples® Brand Chair against defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship for 5 years from the original date of purchase.
In the event of a defect within 5 years, Staples will replace any such defective part. Parts covered include non-moving metal components, chair frame, pneumatic cylinder, upholstery, and all other parts.
To claim replacement parts, contact product support at 1-800-425-0049. An original receipt or proof of purchase is required. This warranty is based on up to 8-10 hours of continual use within a 24-hour period for users weighing up to 275 lb (124 kgs).
Claims under this limited warranty, or any implied warranty, will be limited to replacement of 100% of the chair or a refund of the purchase price, at Staples' sole option.
Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to normal wear or damage from misuse, abuse, improper storage or handling, installation, accident, repair, or alteration, or other circumstances not directly attributable to manufacturing or material defects.

IN NO EVENT WILL STAPLES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS, SAVINGS, DATA OR RECORDS) RELATED TO THIS PRODUCT.
This warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state, province, territory, or country. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts.
