Seat Height Adjustment

Description: A diagram shows a person adjusting the chair height. The text explains: Pull up on the lever located on the right side of the seat. Lower or raise the seat to your desired height, then release the lever to lock the seat height into position. This adjustment assures correct posture and relieves stress on back, thighs, and legs.

Tilt Tension Adjustment

For softer/looser - twist clockwise. This provides easy adjustment of chair flexibility, avoids heavy pushing, and relaxes muscles.

Upright Seat Tilt Lock

Description: A diagram shows a lever under the seat. The text explains: Locate the handle underneath the right side of the seat. Pulling the handle all the way out allows the chair to tilt. Pushing the handle in when the chair is in the fully upright position locks the chair in place. This is a simple locking mechanism that fixes the seat in an upright position to assure healthy posture.

Pivoting Armrests

Note: Chair bolts, screws and knobs may loosen during use. Please tighten your chair's hardware each month.

Assembly Steps:

Step 1:

Description: Diagram shows attaching casters (1) to the base (2).

Step 2:

Description: Diagram shows inserting the gas lift (3) into the base (2) and placing the telescopic cover (4) over the gas lift.

Step 3:

Description: Diagram shows attaching the seat plate (6) to the underside of the seat (5) using screws A (x2) and B (x2). Tip: For easier installation, place seat on top of box. Hand thread all screws prior to fully tightening with allen wrench.

Step 4:

Description: Diagram shows attaching the arm rests (7) to the underside of the seat (5) using screws C (x4) and D (x4). Tip: Use Allen wrench to thread all screws. Do not tighten screws fully until you have complete assembly.

Step 5:

Description: Diagram shows attaching the back (8) to the seat assembly (5, 6, 7) using screws C (x4) and D (x4). Tip: Hand thread all screws prior to fully tightening with allen wrench.

Step 6:

Description: Diagram shows placing the assembled seat/back unit onto the gas lift mechanism.

Step 7:

Description: Diagram shows a person sitting on the chair to secure it to the base. The text states: To secure seat into base, sit down on chair. See easy adjustment instructions to ensure custom comfort.

Finished Product

Description: Diagram labels the parts of the assembled chair: Back, Arm Rest, Seat, Gas Lift and Telescopic Cover, Seat Plate Assembly, Base, Caster.

Warranty Information

Staples the Office Superstore, LLC ("Staples") warrants to the original purchaser of this Staples Brand Chair against defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship for 5 years from the original date of purchase.

In the event of a defect, Staples will replace any such defective part. Parts included under this warranty are non-moving metal components, chair frame, pneumatic cylinder, upholstery, and all other parts. To claim replacement parts, contact product support at 1-800-425-0049. Original receipt or proof of purchase is required.

This warranty is based on up to 10 hours of continual use within a 24-hour period for users weighing up to 275 lb. (124 kgs).

Claims under this limited warranty of any implied warranty shall be limited to replacement of 100% of the chair or refund of purchase price at Staples' sole option.

This warranty does not apply to normal wear or damage from misuse, abuse, improper storage or handling, installation, accident, repair or alteration, or other circumstances not directly attributable to manufacturing or material defects.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. STAPLES SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL STAPLES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS, SAVINGS, DATA OR RECORDS) RELATED TO THIS PRODUCT.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary depending upon the state, province, territory or country. Some states, provinces and territories do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts.
