• Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or above +45°C, especially not to direct sunlight for extended periods.
• Keep the trimmer and accessories away from heat sources.
• Always unplug the appliance after use, before attaching accessories, and before cleaning/maintenance.
• Do not leave the appliance running unattended; unplug it.
• Do not use the product in the shower, wash it, or immerse it in water while it is charging.

Charging the Appliance

• For the first charge, ensure the battery is fully charged. For longer battery life, it's recommended to fully discharge the battery before recharging a second time.
• Charge for 90 minutes until fully charged before first use.
• Leaving the battery uncharged for long periods can cause it to malfunction and not charge again.
• Battery life depends on proper charging practices.
• Battery replacement must be done by Arzum Authorized Service.
• Charging takes approximately 90 minutes. The appliance can be used for up to 60 minutes after charging.
• Switch the appliance off before charging. Plug the USB adapter into a socket.
• The charge indicator light turns red when charging and completes in 90 minutes.
• Do not leave the appliance permanently connected to the mains.
• Always switch off and unplug the charger after charging is complete.

To Extend Battery Lifespan:

• Avoid daily charging. Discharge the battery completely every six months and then charge for 90 minutes.
• Do not charge for longer than the recommended time; overcharging reduces battery lifespan.
• If the appliance is not used for a prolonged period, charge it for 90 minutes before storing.

Charging Indicator Light:

• Solid white light: Product is operating.
• Steady red light: Charging.
• Flashing red light: Low battery warning.

Travel Lock

The travel lock prevents accidental operation. Press and hold the start button for 3 seconds to activate; a flashing light will indicate activation. Press and hold again for 3 seconds to deactivate.

Battery Safety CAUTION

• Risk of corrosive substance leakage and explosion: Batteries must not be disassembled, exposed to excessive heat (sunlight, fire), short-circuited, mechanically damaged, thrown into fire, put into water, stored with metallic objects, or dropped on hard surfaces. In case of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
• Risk of serious lesions: Keep batteries out of reach of children. Swallowed batteries can cause lethal lesions. If swallowed, contact a doctor or poison control center immediately.
• Charge the appliance at room temperature. Do not charge below 0°C or above +45°C. The charging unit may heat up during charging, which is normal.

Connecting/Disconnecting the Beard and Body Trimmer Head

To remove the head: Rotate the trimmer head counter-clockwise until the triangle symbol aligns with the body, then pull the head upwards.

To attach the head: Align the triangle symbol between the head and body. Move the trimmer head down. Rotate clockwise until the triangle symbol aligns with the "I" symbol.

Beard and Body Combs Installation/Removal

Ensure the correct head is installed and the device is turned OFF.

To attach a comb: Gently place the comb onto the head from the top and press down until a "click" sound is heard.

To remove a comb: Slowly lift the comb from the front and back sides and pull upwards.

Using Your Appliance

WARNING:

• Switch the appliance OFF before changing accessories.
• Do not use if there are visible signs of damage or if blades are damaged/not working properly.
• Ensure your beard is dry and clean, free from hairspray, mousse, gel, or other hair products.
• Lubricate the blades before each use. Clean the blades with the provided brush and lubricate again.

Trimming and Shaping Face and Body Hair:

• Ensure the trimmer is OFF. Install the desired trimmer attachment.
• Make sure the head and attachment are properly installed.
• Turn the trimmer ON.
• Slowly slide the device against the direction of hair growth. You can move the device forwards and backwards.

Wet and Dry Use

The AR5220 Arzum Trace Beard Shaper and Shaver is IPX7 water-resistant, meaning it can be used in the shower. The entire product can be washed under a tap and is waterproof.

Cleaning and Care

• Always disconnect the appliance from the socket before cleaning or maintenance.
• The exterior can be cleaned by wiping with a dry or damp cloth.
• The entire product, including the beard and body cutting head, can be washed under the tap after removing the head.
• Do not use powdered products, abrasive liquids, or solvents like alcohol or petroleum-based products for cleaning.

Warranty Terms

• Warranty period starts from the delivery date and lasts for 3 years.
• The entire product, including all parts, is covered by the warranty.
• If the product is found to be defective, the consumer can choose from the rights stated in Article 11 of Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection: a- Withdrawal from the contract, b- Requesting a price reduction, c- Requesting free repair, d- Requesting replacement with a defect-free equivalent.
• If the consumer opts for free repair, the seller is obliged to perform or have the repair done without charging for labor, replacement parts, or any other costs. The consumer can exercise this right against the manufacturer or importer. The seller, manufacturer, and importer are jointly responsible.
• If the product is repaired within the warranty period, and it malfunctions again, or if the repair time exceeds the maximum allowed period, or if repair is deemed impossible by an authorized service, seller, manufacturer, or importer, the consumer can request a refund, a price reduction proportional to the defect, or replacement with a defect-free unit if possible. The seller cannot refuse this request.
• The maximum repair time is 20 business days for most products, and 30 business days for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. This period starts from the date the defect is reported to the authorized service or seller during the warranty period, or from the date the product is delivered to the authorized service after the warranty period. If the defect is not resolved within 10 business days, the manufacturer or importer must provide a similar product for the consumer's use until the repair is completed. The repair time is added to the warranty period if the product malfunctions during the warranty period.
• Defects arising from misuse contrary to the user manual are not covered by the warranty.
• In case of disputes regarding warranty rights, the consumer can apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee or Consumer Court at their place of residence or where the transaction took place.
• If the seller provides this warranty certificate, the consumer can apply to the General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Commerce and Customs.
