Installation Overview
This document provides essential installation information for Wolf microwave ovens. It covers both free-standing and built-in wall installations, ensuring a correct and safe setup.
For detailed instructions or if additional information is required, consult the installation guide or contact the Wolf Appliance Customer Service Department.
Electrical Requirements
- Requires a 110 to 120 Volts AC, 60Hz, 15 ampere fused electrical supply.
- A separate electrical circuit serving only this appliance is recommended.
- A properly grounded 3-prong receptacle is mandatory.
WARNING: Ensure the installation site is equipped with a properly grounded 3-slot receptacle to match the appliance's 3-prong power supply cord. Improper grounding can lead to electric shock hazards and may prevent the appliance from functioning correctly.
WARNING: Avoid using extension cords. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, use only a 3-wire cord with a 3-prong plug and a 3-slot receptacle rated for 115-120 Volts and 15 Amps or higher. Ensure the cord is not draped where it can be tripped over.
Installation Types
Free-Standing Installation
For free-standing installations on a countertop, allow at least 2 inches of clearance on the sides, top, and rear of the appliance for proper air circulation.
Built-In Wall Installation
The Wolf 24" microwave can be installed in a built-in wall configuration using a 30" trim kit, available from Wolf dealers or distributors. The trim kit includes a ductwork assembly and decorative trim components.
Refer to Figure 2-3 for Trim Kit Components and Figure 2-4 for Rough-in Opening Dimensions and Trim Kit Installation details.
For complete built-in installation instructions, refer to the specific installation guide and the instructions provided with the trim kit.
