SYNC System
The SYNC system is an in-vehicle communications system that interacts with your Bluetooth-enabled phone and portable media player.
Voice Recognition Usage
You can control several functions using voice commands, keeping your hands on the steering wheel and your attention on the road. To start a voice recognition session, press the `[voice command button]`. A list of available voice commands displays on the screen. Additional voice commands can be found in the SYNC chapter of your Owner's Manual or in the Commonly Used Voice Commands section of this guide.
Tips for Voice Navigation:
- Ensure the cabin is as quiet as possible. Wind noise from an open window and road vibrations can prevent the system from correctly recognizing spoken commands.
- Before giving a voice command, wait for the system's announcement to finish, followed by a single tone. Any command spoken beforehand will not be registered by the system.
- Speak normally, without long pauses between words.
- At any time, you can interrupt the system while it is speaking a command by pressing the `[voice command button]`. You can cancel a voice recognition session by holding the voice command button down.
The system responds with tones, prompts, questions, and confirmations spoken according to the situation and selected interaction level. You can personalize the voice recognition system for more or less guidance and feedback. Consult the SYNC chapter of your Owner's Manual.

Refueling:
To refuel your vehicle, follow these steps:
- Ensure the ignition is off.
- Open the fuel filler door completely.
- Insert the fuel nozzle into the filler neck up to the first notch, leave it inserted, and rest it against the fuel filler cap until you finish pumping.
- Hold the fuel nozzle horizontally when refueling to avoid obstructing fuel flow. Incorrect positioning may also stop the fuel dispenser before the tank is full.
- Once refueling is complete, slowly lift the fuel nozzle and remove it. Close the fuel filler door completely.
If you need to refuel using a fuel can, be sure to use the funnel included with your vehicle. Do not use aftermarket funnels, as they are not designed for the capless fuel system and could damage the vehicle. For more information and to locate your funnel, consult the Fuel and Refueling chapter of your Owner's Manual.
Fuel Tank Capacity and Fuel Information:
Your vehicle is equipped with a fuel tank capacity of 12.4 gallons (47 L). Unleaded gasoline with a (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87 is recommended. For improved performance, especially for heavy-duty use such as towing, premium fuel is recommended. Use only UNLEADED gasoline or UNLEADED gasoline blended with up to 15% ethanol and an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use any other type of fuel, as you risk damaging the emission control system or impairing its proper function.
Spare Tire and Tool Location:
Your spare tire and tools are located under the carpeted cover. A different-sized spare tire is designed for emergency use only and should be replaced as soon as possible. For details on changing a tire, refer to the Wheels and Tires chapter of your Owner's Manual.
